It's the same as the '04-05 base model's as well.

They had no-ABS options, and they're cheap, too. Just grab one of those if you're wanting to keep it clean.

That is what our plan is with the black coupe.

Okay. Swapping to a non ABS can't be all that hard I wouldn't think. Would I need a new master for that?

Also jd, do you think the Fbody intake is worth it? I have 2 sitting around I'm about to to throw away but I've thought about using one for the turbo setup. I have the LIM, UIM, TB, and the fuel rail. Just wondering if it's worth the hassle of relocating the battery and making the upper hose work

I like it a lot... only for the fact that you don't have everything crammed in one spot.. Having the TB over on the other side gives you some breathing/working room on the driver side.

Performance wise its debatable, but the fact it makes it easier to work over there was a big plus to me.

I used the L67 TB. Just hogged out the fbody intake for about 5 minutes to match up a bit closer.

Gotta move the battery and get creative with the fuse box and junk to make everything clear.

Doink with the radiator hose. We cut and rewelded our original tstat housing to be a bit better position, made a bracket to run the hose around and under the coil packs.

Its some work, but nothing all that major really.

PM me, might be interested in one of the intakes if youd like to off one instead of throwing it out

Did you have to order longer throttle cables or what?

Nope. Throttle cable reaches just fine.

Hmm I never noticed the fuse box wasn't there. Idk how ambitious I am to move a fuse box lol. I like the Fbody intake for exactly why you said. It gives more room on the driver side. I already have a big power wire ran to the trunk so relocating the battery would be pretty easy for me.

you could also use an intake manifold like this one, and it bolts to the L67 lower intake manifold. I am willing to sell it if the price is right

My wife's 06 has no abs

I wonder if you could use a different master. If you could use one from the base 06 that doesn't have abs and be ok. Would have to do some custom brake lines but that's no biggie.

Can you take a picture of the engine bay? I'm curious as to what it looks like without ABS.

**** I'll dent it to clear the ABS. Sounds like the easiest option. Come to think of it I think my downpipe does have a dent in it lol

are you talking about changing the master cylinder for a non abs module version, and then just removing the abs module?

I started working part time at the elementary school in the after school program, and sometimes we play games with a parachute. maybe if I acquired it, I could rig it into my bumper.
