3 Kills with the Comp G

First was a newer model Passat turbo diesel: Both at a red light, I gas it a bit to bait him into a race since he had been driving aggressively. He takes the bait and edges just past my front bumper before I floored it and immediately pulled a couple bus lengths on him. He gave me the thumbs up for the short fun race.

Second was a 2011ish Hyundai Azera: Had 3 people in my car so I had some more weight than usual. Was taking a U-turn and this guy was in a hurry because he was practically wedged in my bumper through the U-turn. As soon as we exited the U-turn he floors it to try and beat the next light about a mile ahead. I floor it too and I very slowly pull away from him. By 95 mph I had about 2 cars on him and braked to slow down. He continued on to the light to beat it and he did lol.

Third was the best kill I've had so far. A 2014 Camaro RS. Both at a red light and it was only me in the car with less than a quarter tank of gas, so weight was on my side haha. Light turns green, he immediately guns it and puts about 3 cars on me. Although I had a late start, I decided to see what I could do and floored it as well. I stopped his pull by 40 and was right next to him at 70. By 100, he had let off and I had about a car and half on him. We both gave the thumbs up and went our separate ways.

180 tstat, Plog, wizaired, Catted Downpipe, zzp pcm. I'm aware that I most likely still have kr but I don't ride it hard. And no, I don't have a scanner (kill me now)

Congrats on the kills. On a budget get at least the Torque app to monitor KR. Til you can get a scan Gauge 2 or Aeroforce.

Thanks for the suggestion. I saw the price of the aeroforce and cringed.

I have the same exact mods as you and I've been running my car with a 3.5 pulley for a month and half now without any problems. Lots of track passes and driving everyday with no issues

Thank you for this info! I didn't think that I was risking too much with this setup. What times did you get at the track?

It doesnt matter what someone has run with what and a month and a half meens nothing. I had 5 * with only headers and an intake untuned. You Have a zzp tune (if thats what you call it) so your probly running rich as **** so thats probly the only reason it hasnt blown yet. But as mentioned befor atleast get torque app. My honest opinion is don't mod if your not gonna do it right (aka wideband tune)

I honestly don't think there is much risk with the set up we have. I ran a 13.7 @ 99 mph with the setup. I still had to baby the launch so I know the car has more in it to run a better time.

    lolololol.

    No scanning.

    THERE ISN'T ANY RISK.

Neither was that hooker with bumps in places.

But you only live once right?

And it doesn't itch right now.

Bet your plugs will look great, your fuel washed cylinders will love you, and I'll be bookmarking this for the: "Random Misfire Thread" the OP posts in a few months so I can link you to it.

Just get a quality OBD 2 adapter and run torque, it's just as fast if not faster than an Aeroforce. Key word...QUALITY OBD 2 adapter.

Just wait until its 80 and muggy out. When those under hood and outside temps get up there this summer I'm willing to bet these guys will be right. TICK TICK BOOM!! These seasoned members are not just saying this to say it. Most have been around the 3800 scene for years and know from experience or the many posts on this site. PLAY IT SAFE take it easy on the 3.5 until you can scan it.

My elm 327 had never worked. Now I just keep my laptop around most of the time.

Scantool.net is the only place to get quality adapters, and customer service. When the cheapo ones work, they work, don't get me wrong. It's just getting on that works, that's the fun.

I can't talk from experience of having a 3.6 plog or the wizair. But my set up has been solid for about 4 years now. I'm running a 3.5 tog headers to cattd dp to stock catback with just a homemade air intake and a step colder plugs. However I had mine custom tuned...yes wideband. And I've been back to my tuner to have him road test in the winter summer spring and fall. I may be a little rich but not terrible amounts. I'd suggest custom tune by a reputable shop. Or like everyone said get a scanner..whatever the budget can afford will sure help! What about the Bluetooth obd2 with torque app? I remember seeing those being popular a year ago? Sorry for grammar errors on the cell.
