Traction is a hard thing to come by when you have 400 hp. He'll it's hard for me and I'm nowhere close to that!
I'm sure you'll get it dude. Take vids if possible!

Best I could do was 13.1 at 113mph

Would have got 12s on the next two passes had my piece of **** transmission not locked me out of 4th gear. It's bull**** you have to spend 1k+ for the trans to work like it should. I need a better clutch and pressure plate. Common issue with these transmissions.

    Hit a 13.2 at 93mph with no 4th gear

Why does the transmission keep you out of 4th gear?

You should definitely be able to hit 12's no problem. 13.2 @ 93 mph. Really odd trap time, i'd say. You're engine must of been revving to the moon in third gear lol

    I trap 113mph but couldn't hit 4th, that's why it was 93mph.
Ford put ****ty clutches the trans and ****ty shifters...

You ever take your old cammed/e85 gtp to the track?

What did that run compared to your Boss?

I'm sure ford used that clutch and shifter combo because they wanted it to last a long time, I'm sure their main concern was not how it will perform everyday at the dragstrip.

Have you changed out the factory shift bracket and shifter box rear mount? I know the factory bracket is weak. I think Barton makes a good one for the MT-82.

Yup, have the blowfish shifter bracket that makes it a solid mount shifter.

Well, that kills that thought. I know certain MT-82's have been reported to not liking to be shifted at 7K+ rpms. Maybe time for a Tremec swap with some other goodies? I've had this site on hand through my research planning for a Coyote purchase at some point- http://moderndriveline.com/index.html

One of the negatives I've read from the Tremec swap is that some are not a smooth at the MT, and the rear gear ratio can have an effect on it as well since the 5.0 needs to keep the rpms up during shifts. Seems like the 6060 or T56 might work with some tweaks. Then again it's just opinions...

I'm gonna throw in a good aftermarket clutch and flywheel combo. If that does not fix issues, then I dunno.

......a heavier setup makes it easier to launch. Go google all that business.

You just need more practice instead of throwing more parts at it. That won't fix the driver mod.

    Clutch, sure.

    Flywheel, I wouldn't bother.

What track are you going to?

The only 1/4 mile track near me shut down to 1/8 and became ricer city from what I hear.

Just wondering if San Antonio is closer, cause I know that track is sweet.
