back from the race... I'm uploading a video now.
Wow what a frickin beast !!
We know now it's a 9.6 1/4 mile car from the 1/8 number vs my last number when I ran 10.0
And that was on the very 1st try with medium boost on a slippery track.
The track was just rained on in the morning so the rubber on the track was all soaked and drying. Overall track was slippery as hell.
Just to give you guys a point of reference. It was a big mustang meet and all of the newer Mustang GTs were running mid 15s low 15s at best.
And even a GT500 that had a 1000HP label on it's side ran 11.6 on drag radials.
I believe he was not on his most aggressive tune that day but still...
it runs 10s normally according to the owner.
So I do two test runs because I decided last minute Friday to change my 38s for 80lbs injectors and redo the tune in the parking lot.
I get it fairly close. Made a run but it ran way too rich.
So second run I lean it more, again too rich.
3rd run I decide to do a full pass since I'm getting closer now. still running 10.5 a/f far from ideal power.
BAM 6.31 @ 112 mph 1.48 60 foot without any effort and wrong shift timing (I have to manual shifters it's very hard to get it right).
I have to get the auto shifter to work on it's own and the car will be much quicker.
Still running medium boost, since the track was slippery and I couldn't do a full 1/4 mile there was no sense in beating it.
When I ran my 6.3 on the 1st full pass I know for a fact that was a 9.6 pass and it could go much quicker with a little practice.
We got rained on so no more practice passes for me.
I will get the shifter issues sorted out and get a real suspension.
The pogo effect on this super rough /bumpy track was obvious.
