Smaller turbos run less pressure ratio than big turbos? Lol?

Have fun with your 2 speed slow drag car running on a stock maf. This thread sucks and you are too stupid to deal with anymore.

Oh and I never tried your setup? I just told you word for word I ran it for 2 years as a dd and already went faster than you becuase I spent the time to put the right injectors and maf on for $160.

What the hell are you talking about ????
I never said that. Wow. you really do not understand turbos do you . Wow mixing pressure ratios with turbine pressure LOL !!
    Come on man.

I was talking about big turbos needing more exhaust pressure to sustain shaft speed.
Pressure ratio is completely a different subject...
Then you claim I'm the one liying ?

Pressure ratio is the difference between the compressor housing inlet pressure and the compressor boost pressure, that's it. Nothing to do with turbine pressure.

All I can say is Darks' first turbo car was a hackjob welded up mess with a junkyard turbo that everyone made fun of on the forums years ago. So him having dumped a bunch of money and not learning anything is completely off base. If I wanted to trap 130's with the least amount of money possible, I would consult him. He comes off as a dick but the information he is giving out there is pretty valuable most times.

He's been wrong about many things so far. My problem with him is he can't apologize about what he's been wrong about...instead tries to discredit me. He's not trying to help in my opinion, it's more of a who's cock is bigger type of deal.

Anyhow I always welcome comments and suggestions as long as they are constructive and have come with a good intention.
I've found a lot of info on this site and 3800 pro which helped my project progress quickly. I didn't go blindly into this project.
I also owned 6 L67 cars so far, most of them modded. And in the turbo business I know my stuff. I may not have the fastest but I think we have a pretty unique project.
If I told you the little inventive things we have done to the car that I have not ever seen on other projects, you guys would really enjoy reading about it. At this point I'm not tempted to share what I know as it always ends up in argument with at least one guy anyways that will say, it shouldn't be done that way. You should have done X and X...
I will just do my thing and report my results.

When some noob comes around saying how awesome his "never been done before" project is (which is the same as many others but the guy is too noob to notice), experts such as myself offering help on the project would typically be hailed as great advice. You constantly try to find some obscure way to prove how stupid I am via your "proof" after baiting people in with vague and dumb descriptions of what you are NOT doing...

Either way you go about it, calling the most experienced guy on the forum (probably the world) on the subject of junk turbo 3800 setups, stupid, is a real bad play.

It's not my fault you made some bad guesses in my direction. Real bad ones that make you look less knowledgable than you really are. I'm sure you could tech me some stuff on the 3800 platform.
But you won't teach me stuff in the turbo game no matter what platform we are talking about. When you start telling how it was totally the wrong turbo, I said it's not the perfect turbo, but it will work.
    And it won't lag.

I was right you were wrong. We totally got off on the wrong foot and ever since then you just seem to come here to argue, and don't really give me any interesting advice other than "don't do it" or it will never work. I knew it would work and it did. I upped the boost to 22 psi for my next drag session, the car will run 10s if I can get any decent traction and the trans holds up and I think that's pretty good for what I have.

For a turbo that will not work in that application it's not bad. And for the street, I find it the perfect turbo. Really impressed with the driveability on a bone stock 3800 engine.

I don't doubt DH nor how fast his car is. People once told him it couldn't be done and he did it. He learned a lot and I admire him for the knowledge he possesses due to that. This new guy was told by many people including myself that it couldn't be done...he proved me wrong. Did he do it the "proper" way? Maybe not. Did it work...can't debate that part. Could he make more power if he invested another little bit of money into it? Maybe so...maybe not.

OP, you claim stock MAF, stock valvetrain/motor, 22psi, no valve float, and stock injectors?

for the next tech questions like this, check the turbo section turbo parts car thread.

Here's a copy of my answer.
Bone stock high miles 150K block/heads/cams/lifters/rockers (stock engine other than intake manifold)
    05 GP N/A intake
modified Stock L67 TB/MAF. MAF screen is out. Custom MAF tuning to get driveability back.
    Stock L67 injectors
    Walbro 255 HP pump (external)
Fuel cell (helps remove air in fuel which again increases HP capacity of stock fuel components)

I shift at 6000rpm normally. But have seen 6200rpm shift with no noticeable penalty in E.T. or mph.

Started boost 16 psi went to 17.6 psi during the day as it got hotter. E.T. stayed similar as humidity + heat went up during the day.

Now running 22.3 psi same setup...way quicker according to datalogs, very quick now. Hoping for high 10s with better traction.
