You can claim you car being American all you want, its an Import period. Some of it may be made here but its still an Import and theres no denying that.
You keep talking about your HP, whats your TQ? I think this was discussed last time you started **** here and it was 180 I think? FTL. HP sells torque moves. Your compararing a 260hp 180TQ motor to a 240hp 280tq motor? You got some learning to do kid. Not to mention you're bashing a heavy family car with a realible and proven pushrod motor that has more history than your motor and car ever will. Sorry but your just not going to live up to this cars.
And the last time you were here you were talking about those modded GTP. IIRC, one of them had minimal mods and 3.25 or 3.0 for a pulley? Yeah, any GP guy knows how wrong that is. Did that idiot blow it up yet? Tell him congrats for making a GTP slower and knock crazy. Tell him to sell it and buy a no TQ import.
Enjoy my Pontiac while it lasts? There good cars and will last a long time. I know of several still going at 300,000 miles. My highest mileage one has 160,000 and i've done hardly any maintence to it at all. Never even blew up a tranny for it. So when you make it to 160,000 miles we'll compare notes. But my car hasn't had an easy life and back in the day seen more street racing than you can even dream of. Don't come on here bashing realibilty. There are plenty import owners I know who have had more problems owning there cars than I ever have. After seeing how my cars keep going and going, they wonder about this import hype. I always seem to get the last laugh. My secret? Proper maintence.
Who needs a manual? A built tranny stalled, geared, shift kit etc etc will outshift some of the best stick shift drivers out there. I love my built tranny, I wouldn't go any other way personally, especially for 1/4 mile. I don't autocross and see no point really. Stick shift cars don't do it for me, they never have and i've drove plenty of them.
I donno why you come back here to bash our cars. We don't go to your hood to **** with you guys, why come here? I see no point. All these Honda/Acura kids talk the same. Its always the "my car is out on a roll" and all this vtec talk, when in reality they havent the slightest idea of mechanics and their cars are just plain slow. Its not the cars that bother me, its the dumbasses behind the wheel. Why you would try to point out that your car is better because it came in manual, when you don't even have it?...that was pretty stupid, it made me laugh though.

230TQ/260HP stock...I'm modded and have beaten two GTP's you idiots(some of you). It's not all about torque. From a roll, yes Vtec is better. From a stoplight or 1/4 mile it doesn't matter if you have all that torque b/c I can reel you in and pass you...unless you're modded out the ass which wouldnt be a fair race anyway unless I was too.
I am american. I don't need to buy an american made car to prove that.

Well on the topic I chose the Grand Prix for its front wheel drive. I live in Iowa and see a lot of snow each year and would hate to try and drive a Camaro or other sports car in the winter. I also have a 4 dr making it easier to haul my friends and other stuff around. Not to mention I still have a huge trunk for even more stuff. It is also kind of a sleeper car. I like the fact that I have plenty of room in my car and still have a pretty fast car IMO.
HEH...did you? Where you prove that you have more torque? Just wondering to be honest with ya In fact. If you do know cars well then you would know that adding headers probably would HURT that VTEC powered monster of yours, especially from a dig.
VTEC, all the turbo lag you could want WITHOUT the turbo.

First race 20mph roll-
We are dead even up until seventy when I had to shift out of second into 3rd putting me at the bottom of the gear. We had to let off at 80mph cause of a turn and stop light ahead, but he didn't have more then a half car on me. I was suprised that I kept up so well. He said he's probly running high 13's, but I don't think so cause all I have on currently is headers.
Second race 45mph roll
I pull ahead cause I am in the top of 2nd, as I shift into third @ 65mph he pulls back and slowly starts to keep pulling away. By the time we get to eighty we have to shut down again He was 1 car ahead of me.
I was very suprised I was able to keep up with him. I can't wait to run the 1/4 mile at the track with him so I can actually take advantage of my third gear and top-end. I think it will be dead even at the finish since my 3rd gear tops out @ 105mph right in Vtec. By that time I will also have my own pulley and intake.
I dunno when we will be able to do this, but I will be sure to get this on camera

I eneded up racing him again.....I just copied and pasted that onto here and there from another forum. I didn't edit that from a while ago. I ended up racing him recently for $20 lol. it was a tie after my new mods.
I don't care if you guys don't believe me or want to keep arguing. I'm done. My car was faster then the compG and just as fast as the 00 coupe GTP. Get over it
