I made it out to Orlando Speed world Dragway today for the Funday Sunday races. The weather was about perfect at 70-75* and the track was super sticky. I'm still running full street weight and still running my 18's with street tires. The first race was against a 1997ish mustang. I though it would be a pretty easy kill as most of these are pretty slow. To my surprise it was one of the closest races I have had this year. He got a very slight hole shot on me but I passed him and we stayed pretty much side by side the whole way. I crossed the line .07 second ahead.

I have been waiting for the cooler weather to get some good numbers and this was what I was looking for. All I want is to hit that 12.99 and this gave me hope. So the next pass I ran another 13.06@107. On the third pass I knew It was going to be a good one when I saw the 2.014 60'. And I hit a 13.008. I was excited and kind of pissed at the same time. Sooooo close to my goal. The part that kills me is that I had at least 30lbs of crap in the car that didn't need to be in there like tools, an extra helmet, tuner with laptop, etc. If only I had about 10lbs less crap I would have my 12.99. Oh well, hopefully next time it will be mine and I am still more than happy with todays results.
