we had a nice play day on the highway. i rolled up next to him and saw the badging so i gave it a little blip of the throttle, he did the same then we both layed into it and it was pretty dang close. i pulled maybe i fender on him. he then hit some gaps and took off. once i eventually cought up to him he hit an open lane an full throttle. he had a nice jump and it took me to 130 (screaming at the top of 3rd) to run him down. after a little while of playing he finally waited for me and slowed down to about 50. i put it in manual mode and downshifted with my paddle shifters. no honks but we rolled into it at about the same time. he pulled out maybe a bumper but by 70 i had a fender on him. GREAT RACE well untill he shifted. he shifted at about 70 and i was screaming at the top of second and pulled a car out on him, clicked the tap shift to 3rd and put maybe another car on him before i let off. we contuied to mess around for a while and all the races were the same. me pulling slightly but it was pretty close. pretty fun but i just wish he wouldent have been flying in and out of gaps. not cool.

i found some specs and it says its got a 6.0l with 345hp and 380tq. the only 1/4 time i could find tho said it ran a 14.8 and that kinda makes me feel slow.

Yeah, I hate to say it but those things are utterly slow. Drove one when they first came out.

Well your sig says you run a 14.6 and he runs a 14.8 if you were pulling him like you say you were, you were prolly still runnin that 14.6. You arent necessarily slow, just not as fast as street wolf lol. But still good kill sounds really fun.

Sounds like you had a good time.
    This one has a V8.
Why not just make a V6 faster?

Well Im sure we'll see a better time posted soon. What headers did you choose for your 04? and How tedious was installation?

pacesetters. i tried before and had clerence issues with the front header hitting the radiator fan. that was with the think paper gaskets that come with the kit. so this time i just used the factory gaskets and it fit pretty good. they went in easy but getting all the old bolts off was a PITA. the back header bolts wouldent budge for anything. had to use a cheater bar and i thought i was going to break them. and the clamps that came with the kit are garbage also, came off the next day. just have the y pipe tach welded.

other than all that the performance is great. it moves out alot better now. and when i dident have any exhaust leaks. still working on that. it sounded GREAT. im also running with out a cat. it sounded ballsy, well at idle. idk what it sounds like in throttle.

Im sure it sounds pretty good. Did you feel any loss on the low-end?

the ONLY loss of low end i can feel is very light throttle it feels like it takes a bit more throttle. but the computer is getting adjusted for it so no not really. i will shift to second early (about 25) and roll into it and it moves out good. that used to be a dead spot but not now. i feel no loss of torque at all.

ha nah ill let the auto do it, just keep giving it enough throttle to hold it till then, then once it hits second i can pretty much roll into it and it will hold the gear and not down shift.

its pretty good at holding second. the only time it will really drop first is when im rolling at like 25 or so and just hammer it. lets say im pulling away from a red light with good throttle and im about to hammer it, i have a slight pause before i hammer it and if its holding first it will go ahead and shift to second and even if i nail it at 20mph in second it will hold it. i dont mind because i dont like going threw all those gear changes. and now with the headers it picks up ALOT better down there low in second so its fine.
