My Intrigue has quite a few parts straight from 97-03 Grand Prix, so you call the Intrigue crap, your calling out a lot of w-bodies that at the same time.
Truth is though; until you replace basically everything...they are pretty junky.

Altough you do have the best looking Cobalt I've personally seen (over the net).
Really though, I mean no offense to anyone.
The 3.5 shows better #'s on paper than a N/A 3800, but I haven't raced one yet so I couldn't say for sure. I'm going to a track because my GF wants to "take me" in her Mercury Milan aka Ford Fusion.
Funny this was brought up. My mom has had an 01 Intregue with the 3.5 since it rolled out of the factory. Having had to drive it last week I can tell you that it does have more take off than my 2000 N/A GT. So you can safely say stock for stock it is quicker.

My moms has 256,000mi. Origional motor and tranny with only regular maintenace basically. Runs like a champ and has no engine light on either.
Overall to be honest I would keep my GP than get an Intregue. Not because they are a bad car by any means but because I feel really comfortable in mine and am used to it. Like every car they have their ups and downs.

That is true sort off, the 3800 has crappy made coolant elbows, the trams is crap too and some other things.
Replace those and I'd say get a better trans from TEP on the 3800 and mod it to 300+ WHP and that thing will haul ass. Oh n it's FWD so not that fast but still a badass car

Typicall domestic B.S, replacing parts almost as much as it's on the road with 135,xxx. Its treated me well, I paid $400 bucks for it (and it ran when I bought it), and gets good gas mileage, so replacing parts isn't a problem.

is there a "Like" button for this entire thread?
Re: Second Race in the Intrigue
Ugly. However, to get the full Intrigue experience, you need one with a Shortstar.
