Thread: Anybody had a run with an 06+Mustang?

I guess like any other car, it's all about the driver.
Friend told me that couple of weeks ago, there was one that ran a 13.2 at the local track.

an average driver can run mid to low 14's all day in a new mustang. the only way i can beat em is to tree em. hell i even beat one that runs low 14's high 13's because his r/t was SLOW. if we would have had to go another 20 foot i'da lost

Quick search on specs from 472r on mustang forum:

This is good enough to hit 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, and the quarter mile passes by in (13.3) seconds at 108 mph. Acceleration is brisk, but it?s not the kick-in-the-pants type of acceleration that you might expect from a 400+ horsepower car.

Not that fazt for a supercharged V8, ha.
So no wonder i gave i run for his money.
I ran a 13.6 with 17* of timing.CAn't wait till i add more!

Even the 427s are slow as hell. I know 13s for you guys are respectable, no offense, but high 12s is expected on an ls1 with just exhaust and maybe tires.

Ive been telling this my bro in law for a long time(Mustang guy), that he needs to change his choice of speed.
But i keep beating him on my 4 door v6.
