My buddy from work has a newish ss impala with the 5.3, I've wanted to run him but never had a opportunity till tonight when I ran into him at Wally world. We talked then split ways. When I walked out he was waiting on me so we did a few runs. First good run was from about a 10-15 roll and I spun like crazy and he got me by 4 lengths to around 100.
Next run was from around a 55 roll. Jumped out to about a half car length and held it to around 100. I have video evidence too

I say till around 100 cuz I only have first and second gear. Last time we tried from a dig my tranny keep taking a crap and hanging in first so no vid of from a dig.

I have a hai, non catted dp, glasspack to stock mufflers. His car is totally stock except a drop in k&n.

He didn't think I could hang with him out if the hole but I kinda wasted him when my tranny stuck in first 2 time
With good tuning and a pulley drop I'd love to run him to 120 to see if the outcome would be different.

Its got 180k on it that's what's wrong with it. Its ok tho, for short races, until it gets hot then it hangs up in first. Not a big deal. Jus will throw a junkyard tranny in it when it goes completely, and build mine up.

Uh, I know you think you just drag your car, but it wont be long and the rest will be gone. I would get a trans first, then waste money on the other shÃ*t.

Uh I know this. Its not a dd so if the tranny quits all together I'll put a new one in.

Fun fact about the kill section is everyone loves to be so critical of what other people do with their car. I know my trans needs fixed. I realize it will burn up eventually. Truly I do. But its my car and my money so if I wanna burn it up let me at that point I'll build one up. Till then I'll drive it one quarter mile at a time

A dp, glasspack, and hai combined cost $150 tops. Build tranny $1500-1800...

I has no mods anyway. Hai, dp, and glasspack res aren't really performance mods. Just help with kr for the future.
