some kid in my school has a blue cobalt ss and hes always trying show it off, he always revs it up when he drives past me and im like i know these are quick but i doubt he has any work done to it so i give him a slight pull from about a 20 roll and pull past a lil. then we both pull from about a 30 mph roll and i pull on him all the way his car kept up but it defiantly wasn't beating my GTP. So then he pulls over and calls me over and i started talking to him i asked him what he had done to his car he said nothing its stock with exhaust (typical kids around here) he was surprised he thought his car was fast he said he didn't expect me to give him a good run. my car doesnt have many mods just a 2 1/2" catless DP, taylor 8mm wires, 3.8" pulley SLP cold air/ram air intake and thats about it for now. whats your take on these cobalt's who has gave one a good run? the one i did was kind of just messing around with him.

The Sport is only 171 hp, not the 260 hp SS.

Nevermind. Read and skimmed. Either way, the Sport was nothing special.

Are you guys ****ing retarded? nothing replaceds a DP its kind of a necessary thing to carry your exhaust from the headers down the back of the engine to your cat, if you so choose to have one, and out.

Long tube headers = no need for a downpipe.

I wanna run with my buddies again.. Last time we ran was before my headers, hv3 and wb tune. And from a 40 roll he only had 1.5-2 lengths on me. Didn't put those lengths on till past 70 though.

I drove one of the first years of the Cobalt SS with the 2.4 and standard trans. It was black. Fun car to drive.

They are nothing special performance wise as mentioned earlier, but it was fun to drive and looked nice.

The turbo ones are quick. There are a few of them around here. There are a lot of the supercharged ones here. Most are stock though.

There was a red turbo one at the GM dealer when I was there before that had to have the Brembo front brakes replaced. They said they would start to fail when it was wet. Good job it was under warranty. The parts weren't cheap. I think they quoted them at least 600 for the parts.
02 GT: Silverstar ultras, nighthawk platinum 2157s, ngk plugs, champion wires, 6k hid fogs, stainless magnaflows, cleaned tips, 2 10" subs. Finally painted.

I had an intake and tune at the time.
    He just had an intake.

Now I have the headers, intake, hv3, wb tune dialed in, cutout, upper polys.
