No surprise... My old contour svt had no problem keeping up with a tbss from 80+

This was from a roll... Caught up to him and got in the next lane, looked over and signaled and he bit.... I didn't pass him but he didn't pull on me untill 110 or so. I was in second around 65 mph when we went. Only mods were exhaust and intake. This was in 07 with a 99 csvt.

My TBSS is a turd passed 80mph... It only traps ~100mph so a 3.4 pulley GTP would have little to no issue staying close at speed, but there is no chance he will get in front of me. I will murder most any GTP under 20mph though...
The SSR trucks are JUNK. I have driven one and it is nothing comparible to my AWD TBSS... They are heavier, and just do not preform right in terms of suspension and crap... overall mega failure on GM's side there.
dude are you failing to realize these things weigh 4700lbs without driver!! they're low 14 second "trucks". If i was at sea level i'd be running mid, probably low 13's with my setup. Yes most of those gains would be on the bottom end but still. . the way i see it he's got an extra 50-60 crank hp over me with an extra 1000lbs to haul around. Not too hard to figure outOriginally Posted by Maximum Gnarnage

Definently wasn't the 5.3L. I heard him before i saw him. pulled out from a stop light before we got on the highway and there's no mistaking the sound of an LS vs 5.3L. I would've pulled a 5.3 no problem . . even top end.
And yeah. . dude was pretty old, suprised he took the bait
Yeah, because a 5.3L is SO not an LS.Not to be a penis, but an LS2 in that Fugly contraption should have slapped you around mercilessly at that speed, even with ol' dude's balls trapped under the accelerator
Nothing I said was incorrect or incomplete.
