    pfffft,

buddy's STi put down like 50 more wheel HP.

WB tune and a turbo back.

But it's probably mostly from the turbo back.

I had a 2002 jetta 1.8t and my buddy had the same car in highschool. we would race sometimes just for kicks and it would be close either way. Then one day he showed up saying he got a chip, and it was never close after that lol

Probably but to get a 1.8T to match the performance of the VR6...cost offset's...but I'm sure the 1.8T has way more aftermarket than the V6.

    In hindsight...

    Who really cares, it's a Jetta...LOL.

they are in more than jettas although they differ a little bit in the passat. The 1.8t has a pretty good aftermarket and can be done up fairly cheap. I liked my old passat i had 30ish mpg beating the piss out of it.
