on my way to get my windows tinted this morning and i ran into a local guy in an srt4 caliber. ive seen him cruising around town and i know hes got soem work done to it, but im not exactly sure what. Well we go on us-23 S and he got on goign the speed limit so i was messing around with him and got in the left lane and put it down and cruised by him. i pulled back into the right lane and i saw him start pulling on me, so i put it down again, both lanes clear and we went all out. He caught me about 110 and by the time i got to 130 he was about 8 lenghts in front of me lol. a loss is a loss, when he got off we gave one another the thumbs up and went on our way. Moral is, srt's are quick. well heres my fun story of the day

Well those are turboed so that top end alone killed you.And you say he put all those lengths on you so he had to be modded. Stock for stock it would be close for awhile especially from a dig.sorry for your loss though.

nice runs though. turbo cars are pretty easy to make power out of.

    True that.

Given it's a Dodge, that pile will be in the salvage yard in 10 years. Who cares, you win by default.

Um they are a lil bit slower then Neon SRT-4s. Most run mid- low 14's so it would be a bit closer then say a SRT4 racing him.

Caliber's are rated quite a bit more.

And also have more meat under the front.

Proven, at a dyno day...ACR Neon...with an intake was making 240~ to the wheels.

Sertcaliber, with a catback, was consistantly making 280+~ Tuned it and was making north of 310, everytime.

I've also seen them crack mid 13's with decent track prep.

    These shenanigans are getting old.

    Downpipe and a tune...13's..like I said.

well I retract my previous statement. Guess if a driver has a bad day then its 14's but you're right calibers are quick, neon quick by the looks of it.

well with our first perfect day this year i got to get on the dyno at school. im pretty impressed for a basically stock setup, i ran on our mustang dyno, 74 degress no fan. They wouldnt print off my sheet which kinda sucks, but i made 268 hp and 340 ft lb and ran the 1/4 in 15.082 on the simulator. all in all it was nice to see what it made after i rebuilt it, and got to have some fun in class.

Over inflated numbers for just a twenty over block, ported blower, stock pulley, and a canned PCM?

More along the lines of 220 WHP/260 WTQ is what I would've thought.

More like operator error. Mustang dynos are very accurate if the correct settings are there.
