got to 155mph in my dads 350z...still felt like it had a ways to go, but the limiter kicked in. I have to say I will never drive that fast again though. Probly won't ever go over 120mph in my current car even though it is also capable of 155

no...it was crazy. It felt the same as if I was going 100mph. That car truely amazes me. I've raced a 2007 mustang GT and beat it by a half car when he got the jump. Have also takin a 90* turn, literally 90* between 40-45mph on the stock supension and tires.

When I did go 155mph I even went through a gradual turn while slowing down....I just coasted and down shifted gradually

I hit 180 in my old 72 Chevelle. It was pretty scary. All the light poles looked like one big concrete wall. when I slowed to the speed limit, it felt like I could get out and walk faster. Sense then, don't think I've been over 125.

Yea, I was young and stupid. Especially sitting on factory suspension. Wanted to see wher she'd top out at. Won't expecting that. I don't see how people can do it on bikes. I had 4 wheels and all that metal around me and it was still scary as s**t.

I've been a 145 MPH in my car once and slowed down because i was gaining on traffic, could of gone further but I couldn't in the area. Coming back from the 1st Branson meet between Joplin and Tulsa I cruised my car 140 mph for 10 miles or so to catch up to my convoy (got stuck at a toll with no pikepass). Minimal traffic after getting past the toll. Stupid I know, i'd never do it again, I was feeling risky and 90 MPH wasn't enough, Car cruised well and smooth at that speed and didn't break a sweat. If I would of been cought it would of been my ass. It was obviously before the 3.29s and 3,000 stall.

My buddy and I went a 160 MPH in a 1972 Road Runner with a decently modded 400 BB when he was running 3.23 gears. Imagine original 30 year old suspension, and a rattle trap at that speed! Scary as hell but fun too! Glad I got to experiance it, although i'd never be around to do it again. That was when I was 16-17 yrs old.

well i see all the gtps got to where i did...stupid on a public highway yes...some factors on my 140 mph were there were only 2 cars in sight for miles on a straight a way and it was daylight.im still curious as to what a gtp can do if it were tac'd all the way out.160 maybe 170? i know at 140 i still had a good bit to go and this was in 100 degree weather

I think Chris (Toofastgs) took his GTP up to 170 mph one time years ago. I can't remember though. Hope he chimes in. He's the fastest I heard actully tached out He had a cool speedo/tach video too going to 160 mph when he was headed and cammed. Wonder if he still has that, I need to contact him...
