Stock, those thing have been known to get High 13s, although 14s are most likely. And i'd bet it wasn't stock, there are VERY few bone stock ones out there. With a CAI, meth, boost controller, he'd make you look silly.

Sorry man, but 99% of the GN on the street, a mildly to not modded GTP won't stand a chance with a GN.

I've been in a stock GN, mildly done GN, and an all out GN... all I can say is that they get my respect...

Im not sure if this is Chow's GN or not, It looks the same which would make it a big block V8 and not a 231, but agian not sure if its a 6 or 8.

grand nasty! he would have straight boat raced you. Especially if it was an '87, buick engineers knew the regal was going FWD in '88 so they spared no expense on the '87 GNX.

Yea...GNs are pretty nasty when they are modded. I was at the track one night and there was a GN club there. I ran my 12.4 that night and the SLOWEST GN in their group was running 12.2. The faster guys were 10s and I think a couple 9s.

Also I don't think the GN guys swap the Series 1 blocks for our blocks. The heads are completely different and I believe they have a couple of companies that make aluminum aftermarket heads for the Series 1.

If its a driver that knows how to launch a boosted car, all youll hear at staging is that damn turbo screaming.

I miss my regal t-type. aint a GN but was close enough for this guy. Besides it wasnt nothing a few turns of this and that didnt take care of.

i read an artical on them the other day, i think it was back in 1986 car and driver tested one and it was going high 13's (13.7 or 13.8) at 100mph. i think they even said they were beating the corvettes of that year.

yea they are a little old and worn out, but you dont get a car like that and keep it stock.

Its definitely not Chow's. Look at Chow's hood, they're two huge turbo's coming out of the hood . I don't like seeing GN's with v8's

Me too! That or a T-Type. I've actually had a chance at a couple of T-Types and i';ve stupidly passed them up. One was a clean driving machine for under $10,000 the other is my friends brother has a pretty clean T-Type in his backyard, needs motor/tranny and all the Turbo parts... I could get it for $800 but to get the Turbo six parts it costs a fortune.

    Shuddup. I nosed on one.

We pulled in to get gas and he popped the hood...straight pipes and a cone filter. I FRIGGEIN WISH If I had a GNX and all of the money I put into the GTP I threw into one of those...cheeeet...with slicks I'd be a 10 sec. car all day long if not faster

ive seen one at union grove, street legal still runing a v-6 pull a mid 8 sec 1/4 mile. Car was built by a shop close to Chicago called ANS. they made a ton of there own parts for the whole family of GM turbo cars. theres a few legendary GNs out in the chicago land area that will run under 10s on the street with a drag radial. I fear those cars.

    ANS or AMS?

I thought AMS was mainly an import only, or were more import specialized.

SP has some sitting in their garage but a guy out of the south/west burbs by the name of paul castle has built some wicked ones, he had a regla t-type in the 's while his gnx was in the low 8's both 231's
