This is one of those future races . Another kid at my tech school (of course) try's to start something with me by first cutting me off then laughing at me and revving his engine . He has a dodge stealth idk if it is a ES , but it sounds like **** , has a single out exhaust . I don't know these cars but next time I see it I will try and get what trim package it it . But back to the point I want to race him . Just wanted to know your guys opion . If it's a ES I believe he would win because those have 220 HP

    Oh who cares.

These threads are pointless...what is the fun of racing if you already know the outcome?

if you have an SE dont bother, if you have a GT give it a try would be a good race, if you have a GTP... you should beat him.

FYI all NA Stealths, other than a few special edition second gens had single exhaust. Only the TT's always had dual exhaust.

If he's automatic he's slow. If he's manual, he's still slow, but its usually a mid 15 second car. If he knows how to drive, its a low 15 second car in manual trim.

the stealths/3kgts have a few trims. The AWD TT beast. the se & the es i believe(FWD). The fwd ones are easy to turbo and can be made quick, in na form they arent very fast, like the other memeber said mid 15s 222 crank hp cars. If u lost his sports car is beatin up on eco cars if you win he is a joke. either way id say its a good safe race. Stall high @ the light & take him off the line.

There is no SE. For Stealths there are RT Turbo, RT, ES (91-93 only), and base (SOHC).

For 3000GT there are VR4, SL, base (DOHC from 91-96, SOHC from 97-99)

The SOHC (base) is rated at 160, and the DOHC is rated at 222.

In reality the SOHC makes about 180 crank (150 whp), and the DOHC makes about 205 crank (175 whp).

Very few people single turbo the FWD's. They usually just bolt on the factory TT stuff from VR4's, or drop the whole engine in to get the 8:1 engine.

And some do use the 6G74, but a Montero engine requires a ton of work to make fit since it comes froma longitudinal mounted vehicle. I think its the Magna and Debonair (neither sold in the US) engine that most people acquire and its a direct drop in. The 3.5 has a lot more potential than the 3.0.

Alot of eclipse guys swap the 6g72's out for the 6g74's 3.5's from the diamantes. I happen to own a POS 2003 eclipse GTS. I at one piont thought about adding some mods till I seen the price for basic upgrades lol

FYI, Stealths and 3000GT's are not DSM's. And really they aren't as heavy as people make them out to be. Most of the fully loaded VR4's were 3700 or less. The 95-96 Stealth RT Turbo's were 3400-3500. Mustangs weigh more than that.

And on DSM's they are not heavy at all. My 93 AWD TSI I had was only 3100 lbs.

The good news is, you likely will win by default as the Stealth will almost certainly break down during the race.
I may say rude things but learn to take a joke. The internet is funny when you can laugh.

They are just as reliable as any other car. If someone beats on it and doesn't take care of it, then its going to break.

Some, not all. Unless you are just talking about verts.

96-04 GT coupes around 3400 pounds
03/04 Cobra coupes around 3600 pounds
05-09 GT coupes around 3500 pounds
10-11 GT coupes around 3500/3600 pounds

These aren't exact weight, but close enough to show that mustangs aren't all heavier then 3500 pounds.
