Thread: Hooray EVO, 2 days in minnesota, already getting picked on.

Well I'm here in Minnesote (St. Paul area) for a few weeks for some training on the company dime. Since it's summer, I opted to drive the cobra out here and have them pay for muh gas. Anyway, that's the back drop.

Last night I went to Kmart to pick up some highlighters, then I went to IHOP for a bit to eat. Coming back out to my car I noticed some guys in the parking lot bs'ing out by their cars. A civic, a slammed s10, and an evo 9.
Get in my car, and one of the guys start hollerin at me and waving me over. So I roll over, and they all seem pretty cool. They asked about my car, and asked about my tennesse plates. Evo owner says something to the effect of, since I'm from down south I've never run against an AWD powerhouse.... Well not counting the 650+ whp evo9 from mellion tunning in memphis that raped me, I guess he was right.

Well, you know what happens next, he asked me if I wanted to run...I said maybe this weekend. And btw FFDP, in my mind I was thinking you could ride with me so I could actually get a decent run on video. Anyway, he starts talking about how he is bone stock down to the filter....I'm sitting right there looking at his what seems to be 3in exhaust. I told him he wasn't getting any money off me, so no need to bs. He chuckled and said he was trying to give me some courage lulz. Yeah ok, I'm not too skurred or proud to lose (note the 650 evo 9 I mentioned earlier). So I told him I would be out and about the area friday night and that I would look for him. Threw up the dueces and headed home.

He followed me out to the interstate and decided to ride my ass on the on ramp. Once we were both on the interstate I slowed to 40ish, and he caught up, then pointed forward and told me to take the hit? OK, downshift the 3rd, took off, went midway through 4th and shut down. I don't know when he decided to take off himself, but I hope he gave me a few seconds or something cause he was way back there. I slowed but he stayed back, didn't wanna talk? Did he bite off more then he could chew? I don't know, maybe I'll see him out again this weekend. So I guess this is to be continued....

Well I should be free all sunday this weekend. I cant really do anything this friday or saturday because of work. I can arrange a better time if you know what day, so I can get it off.

It hasn't been bad, except for the weather. I hear it's supposed to get nice later this week though. And I did see the cleanest integra I've ever seen in my life today.

Considering those aren't headers...its a headER

On top of that...most 4-2-1 style header options don't look like that...that's a crazy snaking setup that probably doesn't help him out at all but look like a turbo manifold, with no turbo.

VTEC, all the turbo lag you could want...without the turbo.
