Strong discussion is strong. I didn't say he was racing, I just said he was starting to accelerate. Meaning he was getting closer to the speed limit, I was maybe 5 mph over it(70mph) as I was passing him and he was going about 60mph. So a 15mph difference. I doubt he was full throttle but afterwards I was driving around 75mph and he wasn't leaving my rear view mirror.

It's cool I just hear too many stories where the killer underestimates the killee. Sounds like you didn't really race though.

In all likelyhood it was a 4 banger or a 3.5... which you could beat at half throttle lol. Just watch out for the 6spd's.

    Bone stock auto 3.6
14.2 @ 98... you need like headers, rockers, and a 3.5 pulley in most supercharged cars to touch 98mph.
I need to run down that strip and see what my times are in my 99 GTP cuz stock to stock pulled on both buddies G6s... both auto 3.6s, one sedan, one coupe vert. Not hard mind you but still out ran both from a dig and down the highway 55 punch to 90.

not doubting your time-slip or anything, just odd... I ran a best of 15.2 at the track, on a bad day for racing cuz everyone said their times were slower cuz of the humidity but even still say high 14s stock I have alot to make up to catch a 14.2 car, but yet I outran 2 alike g6s

Now I haven't had the pleasure to be outran by a gxp or 6spd... Don't know anyone in the area with one to try to run... just stock autos that think they are gods gift to the world

Ed... come race my Regal. She might be high mileage, but I'm pretty sure she'll give you a better showing and gain more respect in the kill area than a G6.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

we have a 3.5 g6 gt, wife's dd, nice car to be in, it has all the goodies, but its slow compared to the gtp even stock to stock. we have never raced the g6 but a guy at the local track had one identical to ours, same color and everything with a K&n intake and ran 15.6 all night long.
