Pontiac GTP scares the hell out of me.
Wednesday afternoon I was on my home on I-20 Eastbound from Mirror Lake Boulevard after a night of fun at a buddies house and right after I merged onto the interstate from the off ramp I look to my left and see what I'd guess to be a 98-99 champagne colored Mustang GT with exhaust cruising along and I was looking at the car and listening to the not so different exhaust tone that seems to accompany any of those body style stangs' with an exhaust around here. Then this silver car pulls up next to him in the far left hand lane and I made it out to be one of the relatively new Pontiac GTP's. (I'd say a 2004 our 2005 based on the google images pics I looked up when I got home)
They both stay side by side for a few seconds then the mustang threw a rev, down shifted, and gassed it a bit and the GTP did the same. This point they were a few cars ahead so I put the Exploder to the floor and caught up to them noticing they we're slowing down. So I got in the far right lane next to the GTP, turned the radio off, rolled the window down and pulled ahead about two cars and kept glancing in the side mirror. I heard them start honking so I devert attention to the mirror and see them both start heading towards me so I floor it as well to attempt to catch as much of the action as I could. Then I hear this banshee like wailing noise I'm thinking Kenne Bell GT our something and then it just get's insanely loud and the GTP fly's past my window and then the mustang flew by easily already two cars behind when he passed me and I could tell the GTP kept pullin. So I pull off on the next exit to head home and I see GTP at the Shell Station just off the exit ramp so I pulled in.
Got out and started walking over and I guess the guy recognized the car and he was grinning and asked if I enjoyed the show and I got out and shot **** with em then asked what was done to the car. I knew they came stock with a Supercharged V6 3800 series engine but I wanted to see what he had done. Guy pops the hood and starts showing me his mods and such. It had a 3.25" pulley @12psi, ported SC outlet, K&N Air Charger, 3" down pipe with high flow cats, beefed up tranny, several valve train upgrades, and a tune he did himself. I knew that the smaller pulley would make it scream but apparently the 2004 got new Eaton Gen V superchargers that are much louder so those two factors produced the
forum i got it from.

i thought it was awesome tho and i loved the story. they are also the car club i go to the track with so its just that much better
