So there I was, cruising on the freeway, I'm cruising at like 70-75 and I go to get around this old late 80's nissan sentra. Oxidized paint (probably rusted) and all. So I go to get over in front of him, and I notice he's sped up to try to not let me in, his efforts got him cut off, and I'm thinkin, "Ok, i'll put some distance between us since he's on my butt" So I gas it, and he sticks to me like glue, I look down, I'm now nearing my speed limiter doing like 105, the guy then jumps into the carpool lane next to me, pulls beside me, grins, and is GONE ....I couldn't believe it, had to give it to him. My radio was up too loud so I couldn't hear if he had turbo or something. But that car is like 90hp stock...good on him.

Couldn't agree more, I had a buddy with a POS civic, older early 90s body style but it was 4 different colors and beat all to hell and had crappy black steelie wheels.... with drag radials on them

It was a completely built swap to that b16 or 20 or something like that, it was turbo'd with a mild cam and headwork, with a 5spd... it was so funny cuz at idle you didn't hear the turbo at all and it had a lope that didn't really sound lopey but more of like it was running on 3 cyls miss fireing sound... but once he throttled it you heard it come alive like a pissed off hornet with a whistle. He made several camaros and vettes mad with that car, i just died laughing because of the faces

I have a buddy that had a 91-92 240 sx that was the biggest lookin piece of doo ive ever seen...until you see the intercooler on the front and hear the loud as crap BOV. he paid like 5500 for the car to be built from a shell but man it was pretty quick and sounded amazing. I think it was the sr20 with several other upgrades.

Only thing I'd ever put in a 240 is either a screamer all motor LS1 or a RB26DETT

The sr20 s13/14s really are played out. I played that game a few years ago, even 240 guys get pissed when someone plans to sr swap now lol.

Best have pockets that go to your shoes. SR20 swaps are the standard for 240's now, if I had one I'd venture into rb20 or rb25 territory. Rb26 is just too dang expensive plus it's an awd trans. If money grew on trees, maybe lol. I'd be sick for sure, but too costly.

There is a sentra on craigslist here with a built sr20 swap. Nick tells me it's Ghey lmao.

The wildest sleeper I ever saw, and experienced, was a guy I worked with who's uncle had a bone yard and he took the body off his Brown 81' Olds Cutlass Diesel and put it on the the frame and drivetrain of an 87' GNX that came in wrecked. He left all the Diesel badges on it. The only way you could tell something was up was the dual exhaust, the Monte SS rims and the turbo whine. It was hilarious at stop lights.
2001 Grand Prix GTP - Daily Driver12" front brake upgrade ('05 Monte), Raptor tune, Open cone, Front and rear strut tower braces, SS brake hoses, BMR trailing arms, ZZP 3" catted downpipe, Dorman front sway bar, GMPP rear sway bar, solid trans and engine mount, flipped dog bones and Borla exhaust.

I was in my 98 Seville and pulled up to what I thought to be a riced out 93-94 Civic hatch, I knew I had him(in my mind anyway) because my car had 300 horse and 400#FT of torque well then as he flew by me in a clowd of tire smoke I saw the cage and the vanity plates, I8URV8. I ended up being in a class with the kid and the car had over 400 horse at the wheels and was stupid fast, he accually needed the cage to legaly run full out at the strip. I told him the story and he laughed he said most people dont think a brown civic hatch in IA will be a sub 10sec. car that happens to still have lights so it was legal to drive.

And that, ladies and gents, is why you shouldn't talk $#!+ about anyone's car. They just might embarrass you. Now the people on the other hand....

The '98-'01 SLS had the LD8 Northstar that was rated @ 275hp 300 TQ...

While the '02-'04 SLS had a few changed made to the LD8 and it lost 25 TQ's probably for fuel mileage...

It was stock, I though I read in the owners manual it had 400ft#, o well so it was less, and the newer cads with less torque get worse gas mileage. I got a true 28-30 on the highway running 60-65

It seems you've gotta egg people on to get them to race you.

And as per the rule book, you get points for minding your own business...
