so im heading home form band practice last night and theres road work so im itching to actually ride since i sat at 10mph for a good 40 minutes at 10pm. im halfway home and theres a 300 blocking the middle lane between a charter bus and some other cars i put the car in sport shift move to 3rd gear and open up to get around em. 10 minutes later im cruisin around 70 and see the 300 pullin up next to me with their ice blue HIDS and black out tints so i drop back to 65 and go into 3rd gear they start movin up and i wait till their nose is as my back door and punch it. i put up a couple car lengths and slow down to 65 this time i stay in 3rd and wait for them to catch up. when they get up next to me this time i drop into second and floor it burning past them like it was nothing i slowed down again but they just stayed back. i doubt it was the hemi srt8 but it was probably the 300C since their so popular in my area. i have no mods other than a cone air intake

Yeah or it was a 6 cylinder? A 300c would blow your doors off being stock

Polished Gen V, 3.1 mps, intercooled, S1X cam, northstar tb, and Tim King built trans with 3.29s and all the good stuff

I was able to run 13.7 - 13.8's regularly at the track when I had good da last summer....when my car was completely stock. With a predator tuner, cai, cat-back exhaust and a 180 t-stat (all low impact bolt on stuff), I am in the 13.4's. I will be dropping in 3.55 gears, shorty headers and hi-flow cats in a couple weeks....and I will be in the 12's. All with simple bolt on mods. Everyone thinks these cars are slow and heavy...actually they are fast and heavy. The thing about these 5.7s is they respond very well to mods. Lots of guys on the hemi forums are getting these cars into the 12's with a cam and other bolt-ons. No heads, nitrous, SC's, etc. I have only run into a couple 3800 super charged pontiacs on the street and at the track...they are quick for sure, but ultimately they will not beat a 300c unless they have some really significant internal mods.

I think that guy browses these forums just waiting for anybody to say anything about the 300C. He doesn't always post, but when he does, he prefers to rep his 300C.

Mopar or no car right buddy? Troll harder

I am on alot of forums because I am a car enthusiast. Plain and simple. I am on vette forums, various pontiac forums, mustang forums, and obviously several mopar forums. I am not trolling anything. In my home forums, I actively participate in knowledge sharing, information gathering, life experiences, etc. This forum is the only one where people treat other people like garbage. While the information I gain from this forum isnt directly applicable to my chrysler, I might have been able to get some more hints on proper launch technique at the track....maybe tips on getting the 60' time down, etc. I just dont know why this particular forum contains so much hostility. The only conslusion I can come to is that the maturity level in here isnt as high as it is in the various other forums I participate in. If anyone else has an idea, please share it with me. Anyone want to tell me why every single time I add anything to this forum I get nothing but flack from the mob? The only reason I stopped by yesterday was because I got an email from gpf saying I havent been around in a while. Obviously my input isnt welcome here...thats fine. If anyone is interested in finding me in the future...look here www.ctsvforum.com. I am but a couple months away from paying off my 300C. I intend to trade it in on a 2010 Black Diamond CTS-V when I find the right deal. I understand no one will believe me and everyone will call me a dirt bag, lying sack of sh*t, etc. The reality is that I will be driving my CTS-V by the end of July at the latest....and you guys can keep telling bs stories about how your 240hp cars keep ripping V8's with over 100 more hp. I may stop back from time to time to see if anyone blasted an 09+ CTS-V with 556hp. In this forum, anything is possible...as I have come to see during the unfortunate time I have wasted here. Bye...have fun, be good, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Give me a few minutes and I'll show you 556 HP chasing a stock internal auto LS1.
