Not really, minor work can achieve this with a L67... Besides they trap just under 100mph stock, unless you have the perfect conditions with the perfect driver (this is rare tho). They weight in at "3,200 - 3,700 lbs depending on configuration", with a 3.8L NA motor pushing 265hp & 262lb-ft. "With the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the Eclipse GT can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about six seconds." They are not slow by any means, but while also turning 18" rims and tires they won't perform much better than our GTPs. Given they turn a normal 14.2 - 14.6 1/4mile time around 97-99mph according to a minute of Google searching.
Mid low 14s are doable with our cars stock if you can hook and go on a good day with little to no mods. Sub 14s with 3.4" pulley mods.
Also factor in with a manual tranny your more likely to spin during the WET ROAD CONDITIONS at which this was taking place. If the driver didn't factor this in, he was spinning the entire time.
PS: NICE KILL!, now do it again during the day time, when its dry, and video it for us :P
