Nice kill, and heck no i dont think he could, i'm guessing his was stock ? Now the newer grand am gt's 99 and newer stock for stock could beat your gt cause the grand am weighs less but it would be a close race.

Hahahaa yea hes full of it, you should have no problem smoking him. So do you plan on modding your gt ? I remember my first real car was a 97 gp gt, i thought that thing was fast and it was, but than i got a gtp and it was night and day compared to the gt, but anyways gt's are still verry nice cars, verry comfortable ride.

Yea i know what you mean. First mod you should do would be a cai(cold air intake) or fwi(fenderwell intake) which can be under 300 at the verry most to very cheap if you make your own from house hold parts that you can get at home depot which will work just as good as anything on the market. And after that you can get your pcm upgraded at zzp for example, then you can get an exhust system which can range from 300-over a grand depending on what brand. Than you can do headers and a downpipe, headers can range from 250- 900 depending on what company again, and the downpipe can range from 100-250ish. and than you can get a throttle body which can range from 100-200 and get a throttle body spacer for 25 bucks. Mind you all of the mods you can get used for pretty decent prices and usually theirs always good deals on the forsale section here or even try ebay. That should give you a good idea. If you just wanna buy new mods just ask and i will tell you some good sites to go to.

If you put straight pipes in for your mufflers it will be very loud, obviously. It will sound real good at idle but probably not very good when you get on the gas as these motors usually don't. Also, i could only imagine the drone in the car would drive you crazy. As much as i like a loud deep sounding exhaust, the words loud and good sound don't seem to go together with the 3800.

that's older than one I raced with my 05 mustang 4.0. It was a 2000 GT ram air and I left it by four cars before the end of the intersection. Now that I have a GTP that can smoke my old mustang I'm pretty sure that your Prix vs. his grand am was no fair race. Those am's are really slow all around... Not to take away from your win. I get people in am's and other prix's and other random cars that sometimes just need to be put back in thier place.

As far as the 3800 sounding bad loud... I have Borlas and LOVE the sound. Awesome at idle, lose some 3-4k RPMs but after that.....LOUD and DEEP! Sucks 3-4RPMs the sound kinda goes pffft.

150 in a 94 grand am? He'd be lucky to get to 125 haha. Ask him what mountain he was driving down when he went 150. Even basic 3.4 pullied GTP's have trouble hitting 150.
