So I just get this car and naturally I want to see what it's made of. My girl and I roll out to a popular hangout and there are three VW GTI's hanging out. Now I know my 98 F150 could wax their 1.8T's, but this one hot headed kid decided to be an ass and talk mad **** about his special VR6. Anyways...we all rolled out along with a 383 stroked camero to another spot. Three races and three wins later he wants to look under my hood cuz he doesn't understand how a four door can wax his lightly moded 2dr. He didn't realize that the damn thing is s/c...I laughed and mentioned that if he spent less time running his mouth he might have noticed that it states supercharged on the side of the car. Please enjoy this little video of that night.

MySpaceTV Videos: My GTP vs. GTI VR6 by TRIPP'IN

Oh and the VR6 and a Jetta thought they could beat the camero cuz they've beat other camero's...yeah, they learned quick what it means to be stroked! Damn thing smoked the whole race!!

I bought the car just wanting a 4 dr. V6, but yeah I can't hold back very well... I'm sure in a few months it will feel all slow again, and I'll start modding.

Good kill DesQ27! haha, same situation happens to me every other saturday. We have a local meet where the group is comprised mostly of ricers/tuners, me, DanGTP, and his roommate are the only 3800s out there, me and Dan are the only GPs there at all. So we get to listen to all these 16 year olds talk about how bad their WRX is, or their STi, blah blah blah. Now that I finally have a 3800 and Dan has his PLOG, got a few surprises for them ricer-boyz.....

Nice... Yeah I can't beat an STI yet, but for the most part I'm turning all the ricers time and money into garbage. There's no replacement for displacement, and although the 3.8 isn't huge, it's certainly more than most of the pop cans running around. I've noticed too that when I had my 05 mustang kids loved to try and race me...I usually won then too, but it wasn't as fast as my GTP. But now when I try and play, people just seem scared, even thought five mins ago they were messin around with anyone.

So I'm having a blast with this car. This weekend Performance Auto sound put on a big car show/wet t-shirt contest and although it was kinda lame, everyone with a car was out Sat. night. So my girl and I went around and I didn't lose to anything. Yes there are faster cars, but I didn't run into them. I smoked and audi 1.8t with light work, some sentra tried to be quick. Some camero's, a sh1t ton of eclispses. Most people don't even seem to know what I'm driving. One kid in a RSX s type wouldn't race, but would pass me really quick ( the ricer flyby ) but I just punch it and pass them right up. Point being is that althought it's not the fastet car in town, I'm having a lot of fun handing people their asses in a four door sedan!

So I race this guy in a honda hatch that thinks he's done some good work. I take him from a dig, and from a 40 and 50 roll. So he pulls over and says good work, but my brother wants to beat you. I ask what he's got and says GTI VR6... I told him it's a waste of time to drive all the way out here to race me, but he insited. If any of ya'll checked out the vid on my myspace, then you know how bad I can beat those. His bro shows up and we race. Two digs, and two rolls. With the rolls he can hang just barely, but from the digs, he couldn't catch me until after 100+. Found out he has cams, intake, exhaust, injectors, ported and full tune. Not bad, but still no win for GTI's yet...hahaha!!!

Oh, cars beaten this week...Z28, Civic SI, Civic Hatch, Chevy Truck..blah.., 3000GT, RS Camero, Bunch of eclipses(GT, GTS, Don't know, old and new) So I'm having a blast, and can't wait for some mods. This payday is tint though..getting too damn hot in car.

Not sure the year exactly, but it was the second to last generation, with a lightly moded 305. But my 2005 Mustang beat the last gen. RS, SS, and Z28's so I'm know I can do it easily.
The link for the first GTI I raced is on the first post of this thread. It's highlighted orange and takes you to the vid on my myspace. I wish I had some more vids, but at night the quality usually turns out kinda crapy. But as I get more I'll post em here.

o okay a 305. a LS1 would have destroyed you. and by last generation do you mean 98 - 02. the last years they had?? if so they would stomp your mustang too unless you had a cobra. stock they can run 12.9 at 108. maybe there were V6's with Z-28 badgeing??

?? I don't know.. I know about the LS1's and that your speaking truth. It's just that I've raced several in this town and always won... I know the facts, but I win anyways, and yes they are trying. My friend has a SS with chip and exhaust and is fast as shi1...so I don't really understand it... got beat by an eclispe the other day, but the guy had lots o work and 20lbs of boost. What tools, kit, or package would anyone recomend for a 3.4 pully swap.
