On my way back from Monterey last night about 2 hours into my drive I seen a pair of headlights coming up fast in the fast lane. First thought, oooohhh **** cop. Not that I was doing anything wrong, but you know how those years of having a modified car and getting hassled in the past tend to creep back up on you when you see a cop, no matter what you are driving. The way you sit up a little straighter and grab the wheel with both hands, lol... Anyways it was not a chp instead a raced out 98 prelude sh flew by exhaust shining. I looked over at the wife and said I have to get him. Hit the gas and floated by, then slowed and waited him out. After slowing to about 60 he cruises back up to me. What do I hear the patented Honda 3rd gear downshift and the roar of his aftermarket intake. Time to smash the gas. We stayed pretty close for a second, and then I started pulling on him, 1 car, 2 car, three car, four... oh **** my car just broke, no got damn Govenor just kicked in at about 110, thats bull****. I was far enough ahead to consider it a kill though. 110 Are you serious?

Please keep the **** talking to a minimum... lol

There is a reason why there is black residue on 4cyl imports......You have to mash the throttle and get the revs up to 5,000 rpm just to reach 120HP

Wife is a trooper for sure, about 2 days after we got it (GTP) I let her take it out on her own, she calls me to tell me "She used the supercharger", lol... I was like what do you meen? She said "Well a mustang pulled up next to me and I wanted to see if I could keep up with him"!!! LOL Now she wants to swap pulleys and do what it takes to fix the car up but still make it reliable. I told her to read the safely modding your gtp blog. Haaaaaaaa

I may have been over 110 I wasn't looking at speedo till a few seconds after and I was around 114 but I figured the climbing speed through me over a lil, hell it may have dropped down quicker then I thought. I was more interested in listening to the car, watching cars fly by, and where that lil prelude was that was trying to keep up. Solenoid, is that the lil black thing with the plunger that comes out of the bottom? I disconnected the bottom vacuum line and a friend blew in it or sucked on it (don't make that weird), and it held. Also I left the end open and plugged the other side and drove it. Same issue with boost.

I took the car to the dealer like 3 times and they couldn't figure out the problem.. I found out the problem by accident jus messin around. Took the car back and told them to check it and see if it was bad... Dealer told me it needed fuel system cleaned.. But it was jus solenoid..

I hate when things get diagnosed wrong, have you spending an arm and a leg for all the wrong reasons... Im going to try and change out bank 2 knock sensor this weekend if I can get a hold of the part. Then if that does not do it boost solenoid is next. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for the help.

I just realized that you have no knock sensor... thats VERY BAD. get a working one in there ASAP.

Also if your BBV isn't able to open then make sure traction control is off ALL the time otherwise the car will try to pull boost and will pull fuel as well and then you run lean.....
