too bad his setup is near maxed out and youve got enough potential running room its stupid to even debate if he will beat you later. an intercooler and a 3.2 will set him straight, like you said. but when you race him this time go from a dig and say youll put the pedal to the floor and not do a good launch. beat him by burning the tires past him and make him look like a fool.

agreed with blue. the civic weighs so much less and he still has to do a motor swap and not race from a dig to feel like he accomplished something. throw in that i can still get really close to 30 mpg highway and and have an entire family seated comfortably and i see no reason to ever want a civic

They really arent that much lighter, only a couple hundred lbs... friends SI weighed in just over 3200 with him and his sound system in it... thats on scales as he normally drove it... with less power than ours... should be slower :P I pulled him by 2-3 lenghts playing around, made him mad... told him to get boosted... so he sold it for a NA integra idiot

curb weight is low yes, but add the person and all the crap most people put in their cars... goes up quite a bit for the average joe and makes a huge difference

thats why most people do motor swaps and add turbos... they have to make alot more power to catch up to us... race from a dig and spank his A$$

i highly doubt that your gxp would have done any better, sry man. I just don't see your car being faster than mine, i don't mean to sound like a prick but, im just saying

really tho, a gtp is meant for a dig, roll racing with a gtp is kinda stupid, unless your turbo'ed.

that civic really only started walking me by the 100mph mark, other than that, i was on his tail light

oh well, let him have his fun for now

that intense caned tune is holding you back alot, i think with just a dyno tune and a little bit better roll you got him. i did not see them come around you till half way thru third and well third aint really got that much to it. do a 40 if its a roll.

and your supposed to hit it right before the 3rd honk, that way when you hit the 3rd honk the trans is already downshifted and your ready to do

i completely agree the intense tune is holding me back a bit, i told him to make it conservative, and well he did, just so i can drive it everyday, Dave @ triple edge told me timing was set real low, and i have some room. I have a 3.6" zzp mps, just sitting in the box. The car does get some knock 1.4* was the most, in this cold weather. I don't know a whole lot about tuning, ive been wondering if it can be tuned out so i can run my 3.6?

lol yeah auto takes a sec to go from 4th to 2nd, we did about 6 runs, on one of them i hit it right before, so we got going at the same time, i did a little better, but he kept walking regardless

That car at the most weighs 2600lbs. Not anything more, no ****ing way it's close to the 3s sorry, and a GXP would also get waxed by this car. GXPs do what in the quarter stock low 14's this is at least a mid 13 sec car. No chance.

There is no replacement for displacement........unless you have a supercharger or turbo

Well hey, look at it this way.. you still have the stock 3800 motor in yours that came with the car.. He had to go through a bunch of work to get a new motor and spent more then you..

Don't feel bad, I still don't like Civics, even if there pushing a 1,000 hp... It's still a small Civic.

If it's pushing 1,000 horsepower, especially from a Honda, that's pretty flucking amazing.

You're basically saying you don't like fast cars...

I have respect for all cars as long as they are fast. Esp. sleepers.

I'm basically saying that Civic's are gay. I do like fast cars but having a powerful motor in something as unattractive as a Civic is stupid to me.

    Just my opinion...

What were Chevy Nova's back in the day?

They were econo-boxes...now, they're likely the most popular drag car among GM followers.
