I'm in the Lansing area right now. He charged 450 for the cam & valvespring install and 125 for the header installation. like 80 for a good tune. Any other odds and ends (tie rods, sway bar bushings ect... He charges like 20 bucks a part to install) Any little engine parts that needed replacing, he put them in for free I just bought the parts (shot motor mounts) (bad pulley).

I have headers an a downpipe on mine now but kinda scared to get the res deleted because its loud as hell as is.... Jus wonderin how much loud the res an cat delete made your car before the cam an all.

It was pretty much stock except for the 20 dollar ebay intake and Drilled slotted rotors. I installed everything else in one shot. My ol' 97 ain't even know what hit it .

Surprisingly it's not terribly loud at all. Really deep and grumbly tho. I took the resonator out and piped it because it had a really bad leak. It's actually quieter now. You should check and see if you have a resonator leak. They're known for leaking really bad after a while. My car was louder than SH!t with a leaky res. It had a "HEY LOOK AT ME I WANT TO RACE" sound to it. Now it's more of a "What the F#ck are you looking at, don't even try it" tone

His name is Brent Dyer. If you go to Michigan Grand Prix Club - MIGPC.com, youll find him. He's the co-president of the michigan grand prix club. The name of the shop is big worms performance shop. Go check him out, and tell him Chris Hinson with the orange grand prix sent you (he should hook you right up).

Yea that could be it then. But i noticed u said u have the stock mufflers?? That could be the reason why i think mines is loud then. I put flowmaster knockoffs on before the headers an all. I bet if u put some different mufflers on it would be crazy loud lol.

Muffs make all the difference. My car has SLP catback ( not loudmouth ) and SSAC headers with no cats and its not too bad, has a nice growl.

I actually have a rust thru leak on the top of my right muffler. So It's quite a bit louder than it should be, but thats all coming out the rear of the car. A leaky resonator right under me really sucked. Then again I heard flowmaster are pretty loud (especially the 40's)

most people say the 40's sounds horrible on gps. it takes a lot of work to get it to sound right. you have to look at replacing the whole system. i like the tone inside the car though, it just sounds hollow when you stand behind it or something. good kill by the way, gotta love beating up on mustangs. who needs an f-body ? haha
