So I raced my cousins 06 Eclipse GT and made the mistake of doing it at a 55 roll. He has 06 GT 6 speed on 20's. Other than that I don't know if it has any modifications. My car is completey stock. I took a ride in it and although I thought the demographic was for chicks these cars are definitetly not b!tch cars haha. I did research way before I raced one and they are drivers cars. Stock GT's can do a quarter anywhere between high 14's all the way down to a 14 flat. Pretty surprising huh? Anyways on a 55 roll I got walked by a car and we had to let off a couple times. As soon as I find out I will post the video. This is not the end of the GTP though I messed around and the best passing gear in my car is with performance shift off at a 35 mph roll. So he leaves for St. Louis on Saturday we are gonna run it again I have a feeling the results are gonna be different with this roll race I will keep you all in the know and if anyone knows how to post a video on here might have to put it on here even though it's not anything special especially because I got beat.

i just figure, with 20's he shoulda been slow as hell.

Odd explain I'm just curious. Idk I'm gonna keep my pride and be confident in this cars gearing and hopefully hold him off with the 35 roll bone stock idk why it's this cars only strong passing gear I thought 55 would have been good but no.

it takes alot more to turn a 20 inch rim, and dont 4get the weight. i had the stock 16's on my car and changed to 18's and lost almost literaly lost a full second off my 1/4 mile, i put my stock rims back on after that. i know the eclipse gt comes with good power, like 263 hp, but with 20's it shoulda been slow as hell compared 2 how its suppose to run.

Yeah that was my guess but, it didn't work out like that. It will with the the 35 roll I promise.

You would be better off from a dig, 1st & 2nd gears are amazing. Top end on GP's suck. Even w/ a GTP (from what Im told)

Take him from a dig and you'll have no problem
20s don't belong on anything but high end performance cars that were designed with them in mind.

The car is bone stock with an intermittent cps problem at the time it was running good though. Yeah I was on my way some where I just decided to meet him on the highway so that's why we did that specific roll I wish someone know the passing gears on this car though it would be hopeful for all of us. So I was at the disadvantage because that's where his car belongs. I think I'm gonna do that roll and a dig show him who's boss. 20's on that car don't look bad because it has a big body, but yeah it wouldn't be my choice then again neither would an eclipse.

Although you lost I was still pretty impressed by it. Please do a rematch against that thing we gotta get more videos of our cars winning.

It's not about looks, it's about how unbelievably slow they make the car and the damage to the tranny that it probably does as well. Looks only come after function. And they look terrible.
