I was out the other night and I came up to a newer (08-09) BMW at a red light. It was either a 3 or a 5 series, never got a look at the back . I couldn't tell if he was trying to race, or just inching up to the light, so I didn't launch, but he sure did. I jumped on it and started pulling on him, he let off to turn at about 75, we were pretty much dead even till then. He may have had me by about half an inch in the front, but I think I would've been ahead a little if I'd launched like he did. Not bad considering his car probably cost about 10x what mine did.

Big deal, he owns a car that may cost x10 more than yours and is only faster by a nose. His car is still x20 better than yours in every way.

It really makes a difference on what model it was.

There's 3 & 5 series with 200 hp and 300 hp, either way, nice kill!

    2009 BMW 328 i 4D Sedan

    200 tq / 230 hp

    2009 BMW 335 i 4D Sedan

    300 tq / 300 hp

If that's WHP, it was probably the 328, if that's crank hp it was probably the 335.

Unless they revised SAE power ratings, it'd be crank.

I'm sure it was a 335i if anything. They are twin turbo with 300hp at the crank and do like 4.8 0-60 and 13.5 in the 1/4. Should be a close race according to your mods. 325s and 328s are turds.

Apparently special tool is required to do head gaskets. Options? $2-300 tool or $700 at the shop. Gotta love life.

7 series have electrical maintenance issues like you wouldn't believe.

I had an idiot in a 750iL pull out in front of me when I was doing 70 in the rain and then preceded to accelerate slowly so I had to drop down to the awesome speed of 50 on a road where 60 is considered the minimum in a considerably short period of time. Its when it slows that people like that REALLY piss me off. Had some close calls last winter... Fvcking hate driving on roads with people who don't respect other drivers.
