Car weighs like 3700 or whatever...not 4000. You need a tune bad if you don't have one...I bet your knocking IMO.

Lmao. A gtp will rape a civic any day, dude vtec is just a fancy term for your car doesn't make power till 5500 rpms. Yes the turbo helps, but I'm sure this guys got some mods (didn't actually check but I'm sure he does).

well lets see, a LS-V setup is good for high 14s at best, those motors are trash. now throw on a ****ty 60 trim that lags till 5k rpm and it's even more useless. the only B series worth it's weight is the C5, if your not going with that then you might as well stay with SOHC and do a turbo setup.

here is a video of the second race, 20-100mph. my GF was filming it so it's not the best, but you get the point. the civic is fully stripped, no dash, no speedo so we where going off mine. i let out when we hit 100mph on my HUD, and he still had not started to pull on me.
    YouTube - gtp Vs coupe

i've built 4 hondas, both N/A and Turbo. i know what they can and can not do with what mods. look around the forums and you'll find a list of my mods. thank you, come again when you know what your talking about!

not true because my old turbo '94 hatch on 14psi would destroy 3.4" gtps with ease, 5-8 cars from a 35 roll was typical.

Sorry, but if you threw a 14psi B-Series motor into a GTP...it would be a epic turd. You can't compare...a '94 hatch weighs what? 2,500lbs? Exactly.

an actually good set up turbo honda will spank nearly everyone on this board. if its an ebay setup, thats another story. any real 4 cylinder guy (called "tuner", not "ricer") that knows his **** will run a civic into the 12s with ease on a turbo setup.

parts don't make a car fast, tuning does

that's why i was comparing the cars, not the motors there Jr.

12s are not hard to do, even a ebay/junkyard turbo kit can get high 12s with ease as long as it's tuned right.

that sloppy as setup on 1 bar pissed off a few C6 vette owners on the highway.

yeah, but im a go big or go home kind of guy. putting a little tiny turbo on it and running 8 pounds of boost just isnt my style. im talking like 25 pounds of boost running on e85 and methanol. maybe more boost.

You sure about that? I don't want to say honda suck but....well unless they have real work put into them they just aren't. Only honda engine I really can respect is the H22 or K24....
