wow i was surprised by how many run-in races i got yesterday. first was against a debadged audi that from the appearance, had an aftermarket muffler(muffler was on the left side FWIW). im currently driving with the e-cutout open at 50% open so its decently noticeable. i was cruising past by him on the left lane going 80 comapred to his ~78mph, so i was slowly passing him. with him a car length behind now i noticed he was coming up quick and got to my rear passenger side down and i layed down the gas
. stopped his car and i started pulling away from him pretty good. by like 115 i was moreso like a 4 car lengths up.
2nd race was later on in the night after my friends and i shot some pool. i was following my friends in their cars, '00 prelude w/SS and a G5 GT coupe manual; so i was 3rd. we were cruising and i noticed coming off the on-ramp a white mercedes-benz coming down quick. i dont know the model/trim but the bastard was tail-gating then dropping back and then tail-gating me again. apparently he heard my exhaust as well, like the audi and wanted some. my friends turned off into the exit-ramp to the nearby diner and i kept going and waited for an open to see if the MB wanted to go. i was still in the left and slowed down to 55mph(speed limit is 55mph) and he turned to the right lane but kept a car length behind me with an open stretch of 3 lane highway
. so i tested if he wanted to go and i tapped the gas and i sitrred up trouble
after the diner we departed and since my friend(G5 GT) lives near me took the same exit as me and once off the exit-ramp came to a stop light. the road has a 2-lane but up ahead, like 500 feet was merging into one lane. my friend decided to go into the empty right lane next to me and was cracking up, so was i. one thing to note. the kids only 21 but he and his family are self-sponsored and he drives a 7.5seconds built drag car
. so he knows how to drive a car. anyways once the green came i was still looking at my friend and he took off pretty good and i floored it after spinning the tires in 1st gear with him a car length ahead
. right when i got traction feathering the gas i starting pulling hard and passed him by 80mph with enough room ahead for merging.
all in all, the first 2 races from a highway roll, my WB was showing ~10.5 with blips of KR like 1-2* here and there. i still need to tune the fueling a bit. the 3rd race against my friend whe i was burning the tires i saw as much as 10* but dropped to zero fairly quick<---that was bad
waiting on the enxt weekend to head to cecil county dragway and see what the car runs after the different amounts of changes to the car. i hope it changed for the better than for the worse, knowing me.
