nice kills! gives us GT owners hope to kill things in the future!
If i had a GT i'd top swap it or buy a V8 car like GTO or T\A. I don't think i'd buy a GTP if i already had a GT.
I'd rather get a prostate exam than mod a N/A GT. Go blown or go home. You guys with the G/T's have quite the advantage if you ever supercharge or turbocharge due to your trans's and High Compression motors.
Congrats on the kills btw!
well, i mean, i'm pretty happy with how everything worked out. i got a great DD for a price that didn't completely kill me. i don't think you could compare a GT or a GTP with a GTO. not even close in price range. I feel like we have the market niche discussion a lot on here. if your main goal is to build something up to the best it can be then obviously you're going to start with the best motor you can, but for those of us who had the cards dealt in their favor with an L36, we could do a lot worse
well the reason i want anothe gp is i want a 4dr for my gf so we got 2 cars and i want to keep this gp because it has sentimental value cuz i worked so hard for it and hope to pass it on to my kid lol and cuz i am a pontiac fan and like to kill v8s with a six
how about, you buy a 4 door GTP, then swap the tops between them. lol, or just top swap your current one, and buy a 4 door GT.
How do you not pull a better 60' in a N/A car?
I was about to say...you should be putting something like 3.69 gears in that thing, not giving it less gear like the 3.05...it'll be slower.
i heard for every gear ratio you go up your 1/4 mile time decreases by .1? or are you just talking about 60'?
nah, there's a balance there. if that were true then running a 1:1 ratio would be the best. for top speed runs you'd want a lower gear ratio, but for quarter mile runs you can put higher ratios in it, it helps you get up to speed quicker but will top your car out earlier
