How do our cars fare vs the LT1 ta's and camaros? I know a few locally and was wondering if anyone on here had any input on racing them. It would likely be from a dig. 20 roll tops.

My Current Car & Mods: 98 2DR GTP
    -Autolite 104 Plugs, New Wires
    -180F Tstat
    -3.5in Modular Pulley
    -PCM (higher shift points)
    -Drop in K&N

My car when launched correctly does pretty well it seems, no spinning if i get it right and it doesn't bog, 0-60 seems to be in between 5-6 sec range.

I have the parts necessary to delete my u-bend, but haven't got around to it, would this be a game breaker or not much noticable help?

    Thanks for the input.

If the LT1 is stock you could prolly take him and pull him. Some LT1s are dogs!!! And ANYTHING can happen on the streets!

I bet he wins since you have a 3.5" pulley and no flow mods, as a U-Bend isn't enough...your knocking...most likely. Get some exhaust work and you'll beat him.

definitely open the exhaust some before u do damage to the car, and use 93 octane when possible.

I never had a problem w/ even modded LT1s on my 3.4" setup, then again I had the proper flow mods (CAI, 3" DP, No U, No Res, Tuned PCM, 0KR on 93 octane). Rockers stepped it up a bit on top end later...
