So my friend has this 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL and is always racing and beating people in town. He started talking **** to me so last night i raced him. I beat him off the line and had 5 lengths the whole race until I hit 105 and thats when he started pulling on me. I guess i didn't realize how fast my prix was. All i got is a bone stock 2000 GT.

I thought it would be a lot faster than it was cuz it has 220 horsepower but only a 3.0 liter.

No...VR-4's run 13's stock...that 6G72TT coupled with AWD is a force to be reckoned with IMO. With bolt-ons, a tune, and a good launch...your looking at 12's.

    Yup...12's...found this...SMALL BOLT ONS...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eoSCizIeIk

My friend had one and its a nice car but down low has nothing. Even going all out it just doesn't have the same torque. Its got some good top end, not a lot of pull but it enjoys being in the top end. Will go pretty quick. Sounds pretty mean also.

No you wouldn't. You might get him off the line but he would reel you in fast with twin turbo prolly 350 hp plus.

Nice kill man. Do you know if it was an auto or a manual transmission? The difference between SL's that are auto and those that are stick is about a full second in the 1/4 as the auto's are very sluggish off the line. The manual SL's can pull a low 15 if the driver knows what he is doing. Either way, good run.

    BTW, I have a SL and a BPU VR4.

3000GT's are junk! They are made with old technology and require much more matainance, only a select few are souped up enough to be considered a really nice car,
the grand prix is a better car all around and wasn't even orginally designed to be a ricer car
