wow.. finished all my mods, wanted to test results against the wifes car (catless). first run with TCS on, pulled on it constantly up to 210kph to 5 car lengths. then the autobahn in it kicked in (top end power) and i stopped at 225ks. second no TCS my launch didnt impress me. but i still pulled on it, just not as good. still a kill. 1/4 mile id be a full two seconds ahead.

Don't know what year the 740il is but a 2001 740il only runs 15.0 according to Motor Trend and I've seen some times state mid-15s...that's a time a stock GTP could beat so if he's running 13.0-13.5 then yea, this is doable. Still, you need some pretty decent mods to be running 13 flat.

Yea you just can't assume that because it is a "high end" car that it's fast. That's why I looked up their times before saying anything. Don't forget that people buy 7 series BMWs for more than just power. Those that want a fast BMW go for a M series car like the M3 or M5. I don't know if they ever made an M7. (Think there may have been an M6 but don't remember.)

Yeah but your paying for the name brand and all of the crap that goes along with it.

There was an BMW M1 back in the day but didn't last very long...only other real sports car that they had besides the M Series was the 8 Series...

    Sexy V12 Bimmer IMO:

My father has a 1996 Jaguar XJS which was close to 70k brand new. The car isn't that powerful for a V12, and if you look at a stock picture they bog it down as best they can. There are 3 90 degree bends in the intake system, haha. I've seen some that have released some serious power though.

Either way, the car is freakin gorgeous. The interior is amazing an the wood used on the interior looks fantastic.

70k... I don't know, but Jag is sort of exotic, like a Masseratti.

I said "sort of" and how many XJS's do you see on the road? There aren't many, that's for sure.

    xj8 portfolios are the $hit, and they make a b7 7series and a v12 version of the 01- (750)

and while you guys are at it g8gt is a better value than the new 550 and almost outperformes it(gxp or vauxhall does)

Sorry guys, its a 1997 740il with a 4.4 V8 im not sure on its output but it will easliy do 250kph. we got it cause the backseat is huge and its great for the kids. heavy car, off the line perf isnt that stellar but it will accelerate with the same pull from 60 to 100 as it does from 100 to 200. its a 15 second car maybe 15.5 i dunno. my GTP stock when i raced it id take it by 1 or two car lengths to 30-40k then it stay with me until 160 at that point it passes me. and continues to embarass me. oh well, bought it for $9000 but 3000 into it.. and its a nice road trip car.
