Okay, so a friend wants to do a roll from 20mph. Both cars are stock.
Taking into account all factors (weight, gears, etc) who comes out the victor?

Sorry if this has been discussed in the past, I did a search and didn't come up with anything. If it has been please just send me the link.

    Thanks.

I guess I probably should have mentioned that the Grand Am has the 3.4L.

    Sorry.

Are you really saying that? Ha...Ha.

YouTube - Grand Am GT alongside a Grand Prix GT

Just one vid I found...there are MANY more showing most stock Grand Am in the mid 15's with bolt-ons coming down in the 14's where stock GTP's are. I'd say that if the Grand Prix is stock it will be close but I am gonna say Grand Am...they weigh less and don't have that much less HP...and have shorter gearing IIRC...so you do the math.

Still, just saying an intake and a few other bolt ons for a N/A 3400 aren't gonna give HUGE gains. Stock GP GT's throw down 16's...that is why I say the Grand Am might have the edge...

Good point, plus the weight advantage...it'll be a pretty good race. Very interested to hear the outcome!

Grand Am will win. I already raced a 99 GAGT with a 99 GPGT. Both 100% Stock. The GA walked the GP.
    1998 Grand Prix GTP - 12.699 @ 108.84 - 1.931 60 ft - Gone.... but not forgotten....
    2005 Impala SS - 14.790 @ 94.35 - 2.262 60 ft - 100% Stock
