3400 V6's are crap IMO...you'll beat him but not by much due to the weight differences...plus I think that they have shorter gears due to lack of power...IIRC...not sure...

i always thought of just buying a GT since they're so damn cheap... i see them go for $2500 sometimes....

I love the look, it's a good looking car, but yes power is lacking and the modifications are lacking. I still wouldn't mind designing parts for one and selling them. Seems like a market that is still somewhat untapped...

I was on milzys site looking at the 3400 stuff they had, it is quite impressive but the prices are outrageous. I guess if you're one of the few out there you can charge it.

Well I think It would be hard to beat him in a N/A GP, because I raced a 2-door Grand Am GT ram air in my stock GTP at a 20 kick in first with performance shift on and left him but he hung with me to around 90 I was about 2-3 car lengths from him I also had a full car of friends and a bunch of crap in the trunk so I was weighed down. The ram air gt's are pretty fast. With your light mods you may pull him but not by much.

That's what I'm saying though... get a cheap 3400, start making parts for it, building heads and what not and you've got a solid following of GA owners which don't have much to follow. Notice ZZP left them all in the dust for the LSJ....

ZZP in all honesty is a big let down. I was told when I first got my GTP that they were the best company hands down.

Now I tend to realize how much money I could have saved had I listened to some REAL GP enthusiasts...LOL

    You gotta learn sometime haha

Got my money back and got to keep all that crap...I was debating trying to order something cheap and see if I got the whipple kit LMAO!!!

whipple would be awesome visually... but Gen V is better off money wise... what you only gain like 15% more HP from the whipple? Unless you realllllly need that overkill feel free to spend $3k more haha

Well...LOL actually I was dead set on getting a Whipple so I can tell ya...unless you have a full size IC (S3), and built bottom end a Whipple is useless since it works best above 17-19psi...without cooling mods you can only run like a 4.5" pulley or so...which is putting the Whipple out of its efficiency range, causing it to give you...MAYBE 10-15% more HP...

But most built 3800's with a 3.5" Pulley on the Whipple have thrown down well over 500+ FWHP
