The other night I was at a gas station and this yellow mustang gt went buy me a reved it up when i was about to leave. I was in the mood for a race so I took off and followed him and got on his bumper, he kicked it aound 50ish and and tried to leave me but i kept gaining and gaining. Then we got to a light and I stomped and left him by about a lenth and a half after that he gave up. It felt pretty good beating up on a v8 with a v6. lol

Yikes PLEASE read the threads about dropping pullies...do not do it until you have way more mods. Your car would blow up fore you know it.

    ^^^ I think I got that.

Nice kill(s)! Mustangs are always fun because you either get the cool Mustang owner who is shocked as hell he just got beat by a four door sedan (well, in my case...your results may vary LOL) or you get the Musta-douche who THOUGHT he was the biggest, baddest cat on the block and who's ego just can't take getting romped on by a grocery getter. At least that's what I've seen so far.

Though, I have to be a bit more PC about Mustang owners...fiance' drives an '06 GT with 5-speed (which is like her fourth or fifth V8 Mustang) and her brother has a real nice 99 (I think) Cobra with a bit of work done to it. Both though fall into the "cool as hell" Mustang owners.

Nice kill. ^Same thing around here. Its either the cool as hell friendly type mustang guy or the douche, usually the typical douche mustang owner doesn't know anything about cars, and bought one because he thought he'd own the streets. A typical race with a douche mustang owner goes like this...you beat him, he does a ricer fly-by while giving you the finger, then waits for you to catch up (even if your done and doing the speed limit) and if your lucky he will gesture you to pull over and want to fight you, if he doesn't then it's almost guaranteed he will bounce of his rev-limiter for several seconds and throw it in gear, chirping the tires and give you the hazards anyway, even though he lost because you lowered his self-esteem.

Nice run! The outcome sounds about right.

96-98 Mustang GT's were the slowest production V8 Mustang's ever built! You should easily walk on one, unless of course he did a PI head swap (PI heads were on new edge 99-04 GT's and give the 96-98 GT's a 60hp jump from a simple swap).

I've got an 03 GT convertible with almost full bolt ons. It's fun to beat up on vette's and such, then see peoples reactions. You've got to remember that a race isn't always about the car, it's also about the driver. I've ran across so many fellow Mustang owners that drive like crap! It sucks because these really are fast cars. 9 times out of 10 a 99+ GT will win to about 70mph....after that they fall on their face!

Just so you guys don't think I'm trying to be a troll here, I'm buying an 04 Grand AM GT to take to school so I was trying to find out what performance parts were available for it.

HAHAHAHA! I can't stand those tools! They give us Mustang drivers a bad name. Camaro owners are worse! Those guys aren't used to losing, so when I beat them with of all things my Mustang (camaro's rival) they get very angry

    BTW, sorry for not multi-quoting.
