    Well a buddy has an anniversary edition 03 Cobra. red, convertible...pullied..CAI....

    He came over today..and we went for a quick run. (In GTO)

    We went from a 60 role with me in 3rd gear.. he downshifted and we are off. I pull a half a car on him and stay there. I hit 4th gear and he maybe has a 3feet of on me. We shut down at 120...kinda ran out of room. I tell you what. I had my stereo on and his blower made it sound like it was on mute..

    We went again from a 35 role, at which point I had to down it to 2nd...and even then it was low for 2nd...... So he got out a car and a half on me and pulled another half car by the time we hit 120mph. He was shocked. my car is stock all the way down to the paper filter.....

    I think it faired pretty good. but that was the only run I wanted to do. the rest of the time I keep her at 2500rpm's or lower. she gets great gas mileage too!

    At first I thought you were running the GTP against the Cobra. I'm actually quite surprised the cobra didn't pull much harder. I have a feeling he's not tuned correctly for those mods. I just feel that he should have pulled much harder.

    Kinda Funny you post this up... while i was at work this weekend, Brad Finneyfrock, my former boss, came in and showed me an article in a mag of his new car. He sold his 1980 fox body that was on pinks, but has an 03 cobra getting built up now by SRS.

    I told him its nice and all.... but Id go with a LS motor anyday.

    before i even got a chance to reply he goes "nah! they suck!" ...those crazy crazy mustang owners

    no, he is not tuned, but HE CAN SHIFT! lol. all he had was a few pullies, and a CAI. I am not sure if he had headers or not. We switched cars to drive home. He said he will be getting a GTO for a Daily Driver here soon. I am on the bigger side....so going from a very spacious GTO to a cramped mustang...was a little rough. But boy oh boy was that shifter TIGHT! The clutch pedal was a lot stiffer! I liked the ride..jut wish there was more room...and for the seats to fit better...

    I gotta admit when I test drove a '03 I killed it coming out of the dealership...damn clutch was SO testy
