I havent seen a thread dedicated to posting dyno results and mods and since I just went to the Dyno over the weekend I thought I'd start one.

Setup while on the dyno, 3rd gear runs:
2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Competition Group
    (Stock 3.29 gear ratio)
    ZZP front Powerlog
    ZZP rear Powerlog
ZZP 3" Downpipe with highflow cat
    ZZP 3" Catback exhaust
    open cone air intake
    180* thermostat
    W-body store 10mm plug wires
    AutoLite 104s

ZZP Ported and polished lower intake manifold

Overkill (revised stock tune) for 180* thermostat and open intake:
    220whp 232wtq

    Vids
    Dash view 3rd gear run

Outside view another 3rd gear run

    Dyno slip
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...ZGR3ZQV3FBMGJv

I'll be dropping to a 3.6 pulley, #60 dekka injectors and an LQ4 MAF very soon and afterwards I will return to the Dyno again to see the changes.

I got this car 6 years ago, loved it and have daily driven it since then. The majority of my mods were installed in the last 2-3 years. The tune was put in not too long after I got the car. It currently has 165k miles on it.

Post your dyno sheets and setups, I want to see what you're making.

your car made 220/230 at the wheels? was that with the stock pulley? if you figure about 50 hp drivetrain loss that isn't too bad.

sorry, yes stock 3.8 pulley on it.

Theres a shop in my area, actually half a block from the junk yard that does dyno days where its $60 for 3 pulls.

The last one i went to made me sad; i only put down 199whp and 211wtq but I found that was likely because i had a 195* t stat in and my plugs were pretty ****ty, i was also running 8mm wires vs the 10s now) so i fixed all that mess and saw a +20whp and +21wtq improvement.

So now im hoping to crank it up with a tune for all the work thats been done since the stock revision and see what i can get at the wheels.

Ricer math tells me I can hope to see 260 to 275 at the wheels with a tune and dropping to the 3.6. What would you guess? Ill post the results but itll be probably a month before i get it back on the dyno.

260 wouldn't surprise me as long as the car has no kr

Where is that thread were people were arguing that plogs/headers will not increase hp? This thread proves it.

You're not gaining 30-50~ WHP dropping .2" of a pulley size, even if the tuner makes the car run to the ragged edge.

    Re-tuning the car...with headers...and a 3.4" might net you 250~ to the tire.

These aren't HP cars. They're torque based. You'll be disappointed each time wanting solid numbers.

im set up for sunday for the whole day on the dyno. so I will have time to play around with pulleys and timing changes to see what works best
im bringing 10 gallons of e85 with me so once I get the 93 tune set I can drain the 93 out and fill it with e85 and set up a separate tune for that

You know how easily dyno numbers can be skewed, right?

The gain he is seeing is likely from the intake, downpipe, and mufflers.

    Mostly the downpipe.

    Mostly.

Because the intake makes more noise along with the mufflers.

I gained about 8whp going from a stock intake to a hai.

It was literally within ten minutes of eachother on a dynojet.

I previously had a 3.5, stock Gen 5, top swap, E85, 60 injectors, 195 stat, Speed Daddy headers, stock heads, VS cam, stock rockers, stock catback, stock intake with K&N drop in filter, 8 lbs boost, and did 280 hp to the wheels at ZZP. I am down to 3.0 pulley, more timing, still no KR currently. I am guessing probably at 300 hp now. Maybe more. Who knows.

Sorry no vid but here is a pic of it.

04 GP GT- top swap, VS cam, 2.8 pulley, E85, headers, 60 injectors, TEP 3:29 trans, Racelogic Traction Control, ZZP dyno tuned.
