I decided to go back and do an e30 tune now many may think my tune is a bit crazy but i am running e30 setup currently and i love it.

Power was there once that e85 mixed in and started to feed but im still playing with the tune. Tonight i decided to go WOT on the tune that i edited and pulled an 11.2 AFR and as it got towards 5200rpm range it began to climb to 11.8 so i want to play with that later but for now its running

    DHP tune by me
    19* of timing
    11.2-11.8AFR as i explained above.

    3.4 Pulley
    Gen V
    Northstar setup w/LQ4 Maf
    Speed daddy headers
    1.9 modded rockers
    STOCK injectors l67s so #33
Cars a GT so stock fuel pump
    Bully Flo heads
    #90s
    E30 setup
    3.29s
    Zzp 3" catback no cat
    Innovative MTX-L wideband

I have a 3.3 but i wanna get the timing up first before i switch and and KR fixed. Im seeing 3* before shift which is where it leans out to 11.8

One day ill get the time to throw in my IS3 cam but need more parts first. Anyway thats all.

Whats the your injector duty cycle like on this setup?

I can only guess that you are pretty much maxed out around 90-95%.

Otherwise if everything else works, it's cool by me.

When i got into tuning i learned hands on by myself and reading as much of the dhp tuning and jerrys tuning guide i think... Anyhow that is one table i have never scanned for nor if i did how i would correct it cor a smooth flow.

Asking for help on that so i can provide an answer for you.

    Using DHP software here.

scan IPW injector pulse width. if your over 20,000 your about maxed out, i was hitting 22,000, on 93 gas with a 3.2 pulley. installed 42's i hit 15,000 now.

You can use a calcuator to bring the large number into a easy to use number.

Think of 15,000 or 22,000 just as 15 or 22 for IPW, for whatever reason DHP does it different or doesn't have "Injector Duty Cycle" has a PID you can log.

The MAX IPW you want to see is 19-20 on stock injectors, you likely hit your highest fuel flow rate at your shift point because the engine is spinning the fastest there. So if you saw 19-20 that is equal to around 90% duty cycle and pretty much out of fuel injector. I've seen people go further like scotty to over 100% duty cycle and still have an engine but that's playing with fire.

Just a few rough examples, at 5800rpm shift with 22 IPW that's over 105% IDC. 6,000 at 22 IPW is 110% and 5800rpm with 20 IPW is around 96.67%.

Either way, 42's will give you enough headroom for much more play.

I was running 42's on my GenV setup with a stock cam/rockers...mid 11's AFR with 17-18* and a 3.2" pulley. All the car had was an intake, ported TB/LIM, and a 3" catless downpipe. Ran pretty damn good for a stock valvetrain car.

Was that on e85 by chance? Assuming by the mod list you just told me about? I truly want 60s or 65s w.e... But for now i can get 42.5s cheap if i go 42s ill just do a e50 tune. I like 100% e85 but i never seem to get the tune where i want it mor feel the power i should so im liking the mixture for now.

Per fivefingerdeathpunch question i finally was able to get around to it however the tune HAS changed and theres room to play well barely...

First i did some GPF search for more education on PE and found a bunch of post by you fivefinger and reading some of your knowledge actually helped with my tune adjusting AFR tables.

As for current tune is running a 3.3 pulley the e30 tune my IFR skew tables are set@110% with that said my current AFR is locked in@10.8 for now again some tables that i found from your post got me there and now gives me room for play in the MAF by removing fuel.

My current IPW is 20@6000rpm on a 3.3. Only running 18* of timing no KR this time.

You are out of injector if you are at 20 IPW at 6,000rpm.

Even at 20 IPW with 5,800 rpm is already 96% duty cycle, being at 6,000 rpm means you are at 100% duty cycle and way out of injector play room. Time to upgrade for sure.

    Yup, 85.

E30 wasn't near enough to get me where I wanted to be.

Cool deal FiveFinger upgraded injectors only mean more e85 lol.. Ill see about getting the AFR upto 11.2 just to see if it helps drop it down. But again seems like its not. Thanks for the input
