I've been driving my 02 GTP for a couple of months now, and I've been itching to find something to race. Unfortunately, it seems (especially around here) that these cars are under the radar and don't look worthy. But last night on the way home from my mom's birthday dinner, I got lucky.

Pulled up at a redlight with two other cars. I'm in the far left lane, middle lane there was a new Dodge Dart with bright green lights in the grille and underneath the car. There was a gauge mounted on the dash by the A-pillar, but I couldn't tell what it was. It also had a huge muffler on it (typical). Far right lane was a newer BMW, I'd say 2008 or so. I think it was a 330i. Anyways, I hear some smack talk going on between them, but they had no idea that I rolled up. Light turns green, they take off hard. I decide to join in, and quickly blow past the Dart. BMW and I were running close, but I was slowly pulling away. From a dig to 80 mph I put a car and a half on the Bimmer, and bus lengths on the Dart.

Not bad for my first kills!

EDIT: I forgot to mention how priceless the look on the Dart owner's face was at the next light... Like he got a puppy for Christmas and someone set it on fire.

Not to be a jerk.. Last year I went to Clearwater (MIL lives there). Uh.. I felt a little underdressed driving an brand new Santa Fe around. Doesn't your car kinda stick out?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I'll be getting headers right after I finish the next round of maintenance (front hubs, LIM) along with a reptile tune!

Bill, you must have been in a really nice part of Clearwater. My car is no prize pony, but there are plenty of heaps around here! In all reality, there aren't many GP's in this area. Went to a few local car meets and haven't seen another one present. There's an old lady up the road from me that drives a mint condition 40th anniversary GTP, and its even in that dark purple-ish color (same as IDJ's 40th)

Good kill..I did that to a honda a few months ago, i was stopped a red, he was still rolling when it went green. I gave it half gas, not expecting a race..I was wrong I had my sunroof open and heard the guys exhaust, so i punched it. Was going about 80 before he backed off, and turned off the road. Not sure, but my gt is a slowkar and he was scarred because it was debadged?

Whatever floats yer boat! I think that color was supposed to be connected to the 1962 GP somehow. It looks like a 62 color.
