So we have a 2008 GP GXP and it has 18X8 Front wheels and 18x7 Rear size

So first dumb question why smaller on the back the 18x8 will stick out to far??

And what is done about rotation of the tires?

Its just not done unless you buy 2 extra back wheels and use them on the front?

With out rotation what's the front tire life 10k to 14k I would think?

I am just wondering what you other GXP owners are doing about this no rotation or???

Is it the back wheels on the front would rub the front brake calipers being not as wide?

A smaller rear tire/rim was for handling, GM throughout their testing must have figured the smaller tire helped with the cornering and overall feel of the car when pushing it hard.

You can buy NON directional tires and rotate side to side to improve tire life. Most tires should last far more than 10-15k miles unless you just straight up don't care and drive like an idiot on a mission everytime you are behind the wheel. Figure 20-30k on a avg set of tires is alright for a vehicle like this.

Getting two more 18x8's will greatly improve tire life for sure or just swapping to different rims all together. The rear rims fit the front without issue, they just look stupid.

SO every time its time to rotate the tires your talking about dismount front to rear tires and rebalance them ?
Will the front tires on the back stick out if we get 2 more front wheels?
    thank you for your reply

    You should RE-READ my post.

I said you should buy NON DIRECTIONAL tires, that way you can rotate the tires side to side to improve tire life. I never said anything about dismounting tires. I only suggest this if you are to keep the 18x7 forever, otherwise buy two other 18x8 with NON directional tires and do the modified X rotate at every oil change or every other.
