Thread: Wheel/Tire options

Recently I have been looking into getting some new wheels and tires. Came across a set of the black Rage R20's and thought they looked nice. It's $441.00 for a set of four which isn't bad for a brand new set. I'm not sure how good of a wheel rage makes but i thought I'd give them a try. The question is, what tires to put on them? I was thinking some 235/40s. They are the 18x8 models with a 40mm offset. Since they are wider than the stock torque stars, will I need to get some spacers?

below are some pictures of my car as it is. The car has 5% all the way around now but i do not have a side view picture of it yet.

245/45/18.. What 99% us run.. Will keep your Pedro within +/- 1mph.

Edit: no need for spacers

Stock offset is +52, so you are already going to be out more at +40. I wouldnt run a spacer and with that wide of rim and offset it MIGHT rub the inner fender in the rear, you'd have to figure that out after you got them mounted up and drove with them if you got them.

The uni-lug ruins it for me, I hate seeing those extra holes on the hub. Personally I'd find a similar rim with only 5 lug holes.

And like said 245/45 is the correct tire size to run.

I hate multi drilled rims. Even though mines are.. Price is right for $400+ you really can't go wrong..

dude both of these wheels are knockoffs of knockoffs of knockoffs. so hint: they're junk.

buy from a legitimate, reputable company and support those that are actually being innovative and not just copying others with exponentially ****ter quality.

anything that you can buy for less than $1000 for a set of wheels is JUNK.

You might consider OEM rims from the junkyard... OEM quality for $25 a pop. Gives you more room in the budget for good rubber.

That is, if you find an OEM style you like. The Bonnevilles/Cadillacs had some nice rims, imo. Nothing radical or racing-style, but still nice.
