Well I'm not much of a rim/wheel guy, I don't mind the stock look. Except, I found an incredible deal on a set of rims. These are the ones being sold: 18 aftermarket rims The catch is, I've convinced the seller to trade some of my old gaming equipment for the set of rims. The downside being, I can't tell very much about the rims from the post, and I'm unsure of if they will be compatible w/ my 100% stock 1999 GP. Obviously from what I've read, 18" seems to be standard. I'm just not familiar w/ the other aspects of finding a wheel that fits properly.

You need to find out the bolt pattern, they need to be 114.3x5 or 115x5

Maybe you can ask what car it was previously on?

I've asked him/her via text message, but I'm still awaiting a reply. The only rush being, I don't want to go through the hassle of packing up all of my gaming equipment, and have them be non-compatible. Either way, thanks for the input. Out of curiosity, whats your opinion on the visual appeal, my GP being the factory bright red color?

Okay, instead of replying with a list of compatible bolt patterns, he just refers to it as 5 lug universal. >.> So, that doesn't really help, but on the bright side I've contacted this seller: 17" Rims for sale with tires and he actually replied saying it was previously on a toyota corolla sport. Sadly, these are 17" I really hate to be so bothersome, but I've read all the stickied threads, and still have a hard time understanding how to know if a 5 lug universal is compatible with my car. (cited in OP) Alll help is appreciated, meanwhile I'll attempt to find an online rim company, who might have the specified list of bolt patterns a 5 lug uni will fit. :/

Ending up getting the ones in the OP, excited to see if they fit. Never seen a raptor style rim, on a GP. x]

lol. Yea, I'm still unsure as to if they will fit, but on the other hand I'm only losing my gaming equipment. Which was only collecting dust.

I love when someone says it's universal pattern. I then email or text them back and inform them that it only has 2 bolt patterns and there are more than 2 5 lug bolt patterns. Most of the time I get a reply back with the vehicle they had them on or a thanks didn't know that. I had one guy insist his rims would fit any car 4 or 5 lug. It had 10 lug holes in it for 2 5 lug patterns but he insisted he had them on his 4 lug cobalt. Some people are just that stupid.

I know anytime I'm browsing Craigslist if someone isn't specific enough in their ad I just skip right over it. I'm not going to contact them if they fail to include basic info. My opinion is if you want to sell you'll make the biggest effort you can.

The other thing you want to watch out for is that with a 114.3x5 pattern, I have heard that shops will not put them on your car. You will have to take them in and have tires mounted and balanced and take them home and do it yourself. Just be aware of that.

I recommend putting them on yourself anyways once you have tires mounted. Don't trust shops to do it..most will use a impact gun and tighten the lugs and make it a pain in the ass to get them off down the road and are careless when it comes to being careful not to scratch the rims.

Good point. And they tend to not put the lug nut covers back on. I had to take it in to the shop where I got my tires so they could look at them and before I went in my dad came out and saw me taking all my lug nut covers off and I explained that I wanted to be sure I got them all back. lol

First set of rims I had I had a shop put them on didn't want to bother with the mess. After cleaning the car noticed scratches all around my lugs and around the lip. That was enough for me to start doing them myself. Especially when your talking about $900 rims I was pissed.

Yea, drove to the sellers house tonight. We jacked it up, and threw on a wheel. I'm in love with the aggressive appearance it gives, I plan to put them all on tomorrow afternoon. It was actually a way better deal then I thought. Instead of getting just the rims, he included the set of tires, and 2 brand new tires just in case. I stopped and picked up some anti-theft lugs, and excited to see the turnout. Thanks Guys, will post pics soon. ^.^

    Anit theft lugs huh lol.

I own a few wheel lock keys and you can buy most of them at any aftermarket wheel dealer. Imma go steal your rims hahaha.

But the likelyhood of someone having the wheel key with them in slim.

lol I didn't plan on purchasing them, but when we tested the wheel, he used them. I didn't want to deal with the trouble of wrong lugs, and such. So I just bought the same ones he used, "Tuner Anti-Theft Lugs." Since my GP is my DD, better to be safe than sorry.
