    Hello to all,

So I'm back looking for more advice from the well intelligent ones on this site. I recently asked you guys how would i go about putting 22's on my car and some provided helpful answers and some didn't. Long story short I took the advice of scraping the big wheel set up due to the unnecessary amount of work I would have to do to the car and I basically don't wanna worry about the long term affects because of the size, etc. So now I'm on the quest to find some new (smaller, preferably 18 inch wheels) wheels, but I'm having trouble deciding which ones I like and what *Fits best. This is where you lovely people come in and dish out your opinions/advice on the ones I've provided and provide some of your own on what you guys think would look nice. I'm more of a black or gun-metal type finish guy, so no chrome suggestions please. I HATE CHROME. (no offense)....

AMERICAN RACING® NOVA Wheels - Gloss Black with Machined Face Rims #1
GIANELLE® VALENCIA Wheels - Black with Black Lip Rims #2
AMERICAN RACING® VILLAIN Wheels - Matte Black with Machined Face Rims #3
ADVANTI RACING™ 15th ANNIVERSARY Wheels - Hyper Dark with Machined Undercut Rims #4
ADVANTI RACING™ TRAKTION Wheels - Matte Gunmetal with Machined Lip Rims #5

    KATANA™ RC10 Wheels - Dark Gunmetal Rims #6
    MSR™ 048 Wheels - Black Rims #7
RAZE™ R74 Wheels - Gold with Machined Lip Rims #8

Also, what's the smallest wheel size in width would you guys advised. Because some of the rims are "7.5" I'm wondering is that too small or will it just require a wider tire?
& Last but least, can someone explain the offset a little better, for example a +35mm means that the wheel sticks out further away from the car or sits in closer towards the car??

    Thanks,

100...I'm sure I said it before...but, go with what YOU like. Don't GAF about what others think. If you do that, you'll just have another generic, cookie-cutter GP. As for the rest, others will chime in and give their $.02

I like the look of some of them but would actually have to see them on a gp to make a decision, but I think #6 would look good.

Your right, but I don't have the time to be dealing with new problems down the road because of the size of my wheels. I drive my car a lot, incline, & declines. I just think it would be easier on my self to go with smaller wheels.....for the GP sake . I'll get my big wheels on a truck in the near future. Thanks for seeing my point though.

I didn't just mean with your wheel size...because honestly, not worth the extra strain or wear to have the bigger wheels...but even in the choice of design. Find a wheel you like with similar dimensions to what is necessary...buy them up, throw them on, and call it a day man.

I like #1. 7.5" or 8" are just fine the difference is vary minimum. 35+mm is actually the perfect offset for our cars. It will sit flush in the fenders. The more + the offset the more they will sit in the fender so if you wanted it to poke out the fender you would for example look for a 20mm offset etc. 245/45/18 is wht most of us run and keeps it close to factory specs.

okay I see what your saying. & #1 is my favorite, the rims just come wider on for an 18inch.
    So, would 18x9 +35mm work?

Yea that will work wouldn't go any wider though unless you want to rub. Also if your not lowered either you shouldn't have a issue...if you are then all else fails just a slight fender roll will fix that.

I think ima go with #1. I like those the most, the specs are 20x8.5. And the bolt pattern is 5/4.5...

Question: Is 5/4.5 the same as 5/114.3?

    Consider center at 0

+35 would be more to the face of the wheel (fwd offset usually)

-35 would me further back giving a huge lip (more truck/suv setup)

Most commonly a 18x8 with a +35 offset will give a nice fit with little chance of rubbing. depending on the wheel/tire setup you may have to roll the fenders

If you go with a 9 or a 9.5 wide wheels you will have to get VERY specific on the offset and will have to roll the fenders and may need a little pulling too, but they will fit. Seen several do it, just not a simple bolt on and go show off.

you've also gotta realize that plus or minus 10mm is like half inch. so the different from +30mm to +40mm isn't really noticeable. the width of the wheel and the tire you're running has a lot more to do with rubbing and flushness.

however, offset does play into the equation. it's just something that people are a little too critical of.

The wider you can make #1.

    The better it'll be.

    Especially lowered.

Factory bolt pattern is 5x115 but most people say 5x114.3 fits fine.
