haha i'm beating a dead cat. The same passion you guys have for your wider wheel set, some people have for their taller wheel set. The same modifications you guys go through trying to fit the widest wheels on these cars, people do the same for taller wheel sets... I'm clearly outnumbered here.

It's just not worthwhile to do it unless you do the right thing modificationwise and plan on keeping the car, or have a buyer that will appreciate your hard work and attention to detail.

These cars already sell for next to scrap value.

im a fan of taller wheels. maybe not 22's but that doesnt really matter. im being honest by saying that 22's will turn away potential buyers. people will think they look obnoxious on the car and wont buy it for that reason. you would have to have the right buyer and that would be very hard to find. you are better off going with 19's or 20's. they are plenty noticeable but not as obnoxious. some people may still not like them but you will have a much easier time finding a buyer that likes the 19's or 20's as opposed to the 22's.

You're missing the point. You don't even plan on keeping the car so there is NO POINT in going through all this crap to add overly large wheels. My buddy has 22's on his Tahoe and they are almost too large for it. He has almost $1500 just into tires. You are not going to get that money back when you sell the car.

Yes I'm on the east/gulf coast here in FL and there's plenty of big wheels here. You asked us what upgrades/precautions were needed for large wheels and most of us gave you straight forward answers and why it isn't good to run them, but I never said that you shouldn't run them.

I left a word out of that sentence, my bad. I didn't mean to say that we won't help you out, I meant we would still help out out. That sounded different in my head

your buddy got ripped off for spending that much on just tires. & if your telling me some 22's couldn't fit on a Tahoe when they sale Tahoe's stock on 22's, haha you can get out of my face with this nonsense. You damn right about your "buddy" not getting his money back because the fool got ripped off! as for me and my 22's on the grand prix, I'll be just dandy. I got what I needed from here, and you my friend provided nothing but opinionated crap. :/.

Where I live, the car would sell in a heartbeat. That's where I live though. Every place is different. I understand the need for telling him that it's gonna kill his trans and more than likely lessen the value of his car but every place has a different taste in vehicles. Out here in the DMV I see caprices with candy paint on 26's everyday. Those cars sell easy for 6-7 grand out here. Is it stupid? In my opinion yes but that's me. If ya like the big rims bro, go for it. Just post pics when your done.

    Dude, get over yourself.

Do you think you are the first person to put 22's on a W-body? Do you think you are the first person to ask about 22's on this forum? Do you honestly think you know more about W-bodies that the hundreds of people on this site?

If you do then by all means please tell us, guide us to the proper ways. But since you don't, take some free advice when it is being given away. It will save you a lot of trouble.

why did you feel the need to waste your time with this post?

Like it clearly says I'm a first time user on this site, but I have well enough logic to know BS from logic my man. The people that provided me with the necessary feedbacklinfo, I gave them there props & thanks. I'm not gonna listen to anybody talk to me about some nonsense. #2 Troll you can see yourself off this page and into another topic as well.

haha not even homegirl. I look up to people who have pretty good looking cars, not people who trolls topics with lousy inputs and a car looking like yours. I hope it runs better than what it looks like, at least. I suppose since my car is older then yours its worst or w.e you feel it is.. haha you got another thing coming my man. Just because my mods aren't posted doesn't mean that piece of **** has anything on mine, except for being recently manufactured.
