Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
I wouldn't use 114.3mm.
But I also wouldn't trust using sleeves over the caliper bolts, as many do when upgrading calipers.

From center to outside of opposing hole. Like I said, the 0.7mm is minute, but does make a difference. Not enough distance to be overly concerned in my opinion. That is the purpose of the hubcentric to reduce stress on any lug that may have uneven pulling pressure from the wheel not being centered.
But you dont need hubcentric rings to run mustang wheels. Since there hub bore is almost the same diameter as ours. Thats why running 114.3 rims is no big deal.

why do you need people to mount your wheels for you? you only need them for the mounting of the tires and that's it.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
I dont. But seeing i wouldve already been there getting tires mounted it only makes life a bit easier than having to throw on my spare, drive home, then throw it on. Doesnt matter....im shxt outta luck anyways. Lol

I was talking about rims in general, plus op is talking about MSR rims.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
Ok so 5x114.3 wont be a problem. What is everyone using for offset? Im going to do the KV5's in 19x8.5 and im thinking +40 offset? Im also doing the GXP calipers front and rear if that makes a difference clearance wise.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
After my spacers come in my 9" wheels will be at +30, might could do +25mm
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
Id say 30 would be ur max before they start sticking out tremendously and not look good. Imo i think 40 would be good.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
with an 8.5" width you'll probably want about a +35mm offset for the flush look. however, you can always go around +40mm and add a small spacer if you'd like, which is what i would do to be safe.
also, rolling the fenders is easy. don't let that scare you.

How much did it cost you to install the lowering springs? What did you buy exactly to do it besides springs? Did you do it yourself?

youre talking about GM. you should be wondering if that lazy line worker that assembled the car tightened all the bolts right.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
Whats the deal with wobble bolts? I never really hear them mentioned around here but thats what everyone suggests on a few other forums i check
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
^^ ive seen them used before. its used for example on 4x100 to 4x98 bolt patterns. 0.7 mm isnt worth getting them, plenty people here running stock bolts YEARS without issues.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
Been on 5x114.3 for 5 years now with no issues.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
From what I have heard seen and read....Most companies just make the bolt pattern on wheels at 5x115 or 114.3 but not both....Meaning they don't make two different wheels, they are the same but just listed as two sizes.
Re: 5x115 vs 5x114.3 Official Debate
they are the 'same' because they are so close they dont have to consider them different.
however, in the real world they are different.

Many big wheels companys make both now.
But if you looking for that special wheel. Its only going to come in 5x114.3
